Course Description
Build practical IPv4 addressing and subnetting skills for Cisco CCNA networking and exam preparation. Work through subnet masks, CIDR, VLSM, network and broadcast addresses, and usable host ranges using step-by-step examples. This course focuses on accurate calculations and real networking applications without promising a particular exam result.
Course Description – Subnetting Mastery for CCNA / CCENT / ICND1
Subnetting is often considered one of the most challenging yet essential topics for students preparing for the CCENT, CCNA, or ICND1 exams. Understanding how IP addressing and subnetting work forms the foundation for all network design, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks. Without mastering subnetting, progressing in networking becomes difficult.
This course is designed to break down subnetting into simple, logical steps so that learners at any level can understand and apply the concepts with confidence. If you have followed basic IP addressing lessons and grasped the fundamentals, subnetting will become much easier to understand. The goal of this training is to make every concept crystal clear and help you overcome any fear or confusion surrounding subnetting.
Throughout the course, subnetting is explained in a structured, progressive manner. Each section introduces a new concept, gradually increasing in complexity. You will learn how to calculate subnet boundaries, determine usable host ranges, identify broadcast addresses, and design efficient IP schemes for real-world networks.
Practical examples and step-by-step exercises are included to ensure you can perform subnetting calculations quickly—an essential skill for exam success. The techniques taught in this guide will help you answer subnetting questions accurately and within seconds, which is critical for completing the Cisco CCNA or ICND1 exam on time.
By the end of this course, you will have a strong understanding of subnetting and the confidence to apply it in both exam scenarios and real networking environments.

it took me a bit of time to understand this because i was new. once i learned subnetting a bit on my own, i re-watched this to understand it better. this lesson is very good. if you don't understand the concepts well, re-watch it or study another method. for me, i think i have to be taught things in different ways to grasp it. bought this 1-2 years ago and when watching it now, i really understand it and learned additional information i didn't yet know. thank you!

Easily one of the best courses on Subnetting. Some of the shortcuts he mentioned just save so much time in real lab exam. I went through each example atleast a couple of times and after the whole course I practiced some quizzes online. Everything was so smooth. Pay a lot of attention to the last few minutes of lecture 15 where he covers how and where his shortcuts can be utilized

During the course the instructor clearly mentioned about having chapters on NAT and its advantages. However, the concept was not covered in the later sessions.

I began watching this video to help me with Network+ studies and how subnetting works. I already understand how to convert decimal to binary and back again, but the 2 power table and the other examples really helped make how to subnet more clear. I'm still struggling with the later lessons, but I will be reviewing them again and hope to really get a good understanding of the course content.

The lecturer is knowledgeable on the subject and the content is comprehensive but his lecturing style is a bit unorthodox. I found it more difficult to follow handwritten content with the lecturer jumping from one part of the screen to another.

Great Course! Instructor has done a wonderful job explaining things very clearly. I could understand things so easily by watching his videos . I have tried to learn IP addressing and subnetting from various online resources and I can say this one is the best out there. Thank you bro :)

Gave a concise explanation of the three types of communication on a network and certain applications that use multicasting. Subnetting can be a very difficult concept for some to grasp as has been the case for myself. However, the equations the instructor provided simplified things and made it really easy to understand.

The course was excellent and the lectures and information on the subject are spot on. The course may be considered a micro subject in most certification or exam studies but the material, teaching, and practice value given in this course is invaluable to successfully understanding networking as a whole. Great work and a Great Teacher. Thank you Sikandar Shaik

Went into this class with a vague recollection of Subnetting - I took my CCNA classes 14 years ago and did not pursue the networking aspect of I.T. Sikandar explained every lecture in great detail and his examples are excellent. Any lecture I did not fully grasp I simply watched again. I highly recommend this class for a high level overview on subnetting
