Course Description
This course is for Cisco's newest certification, the CCNA R/S 200-125, that became effective on August 21st, 2016.
Cisco certifications do have an expiration date and they need to be renewed every couple of years.
*******************************************************
Laz is notorious for his nonchalant and unorthodox way of teaching, and has quickly become one of UDEMY's top instructors with a student base of over 38K+ students in his old CCNA 200-120 (now a private course), and an overall student base of 53K+ and counting for all his courses on UDEMY.
Not to mention his achievement in being instrumental in getting hris students certified world wide.
Laz's courses are being taught in over 194 countries and some of these have been translated into other languages.
This is why he has become a rising star in Cisco certifications and Networking!
This is his latest course for the CCNA R/S and has everything you needs to prepare for the 200-125 certification exam.
The course was produced in a very effective manner where you, the student, would feel as if you are in a classroom setting and the instructor is speaking directly to YOU.
Following Laz's instructions and using his recommendations for other resources like books, etc., has proven to be the key to lead his students to achieve success in passing the certification exam.
In Laz's style of teaching, (and there is a method to his madness), is very laid back and somewhat unorthodox, as you will see for yourself.
However, this is to make the topics covered more digestible and easier for anyone to understand. Even if you are totally new to Networking.
So, whether you are a novice, need to pass the CCNA or just need a refresher for your current job, this course has everything you need.
Don't doubt the Instructor with the proven record, but rather embrace his knowledge and his experience when it comes to this; after all...his reputation depends on your success!
You will acquire the knowledge in this course to make it transferable to real world use, as a Cisco and/or IT Professional.
DISCLAIMER: Please note that the simulators/emulators used in this course are not part of the course. It is the students responsibility to have these to practice with. The Cisco Packet Tracer & VIRAL (Virtual Internet Routing Lab) are Cisco proprietary software and can only be obtained through Cisco. But students have more options that those. They can create their own lab with real equipment, get BOSON or GNS3. It is up to each student to obtain the simulator/emulator of their choice to study along with this course. Please also NOTE: .pkt files have been up-loadable to UDEMY's site via a ZIP folder. However, I would like to stress that replicating my labs will help students to practice, follow along and will drive down the information in a more precise manner where the students will retain more of the information for the test.

The information was definitely spot on, it gave me an opportunity to relearn a lot of the course as its been awhile since I have played on any type of network system. Some of the pkt tracer packets wouldnt open which actually worked in my favor as it forced me to recreate the lab from scratch giving me even more time working on setting up the labs and making sure they worked as I followed along. I have already recommended Laz to other coworkers who are looking to move into the IT field as he keeps your attention, and teaches you above what is needed for CCNA.

I enjoy the energy that Laz provides. Some course are dull because you can only see routers, switches, or immulation software. One thing that makes Laz's courses unique is that you're face to face with the instructor. Even my 4 year old engages with the course when she sees daddy watching it because it is more lively than many others. She says, "Daddy, there is your teacher with the bald head." LOL. I throughly enjoyed this course. As someone who is in I.T. but works in voice/video, my understanding of the foundations of networking have expanded. I have since passed the ICND1 a month ago and am peparing for the ICND2 now. Thanks, Laz

Laz does an outstanding job of keeping the pace just right. Fast but not too fast. His compact and complete delivery of the material reinforces the reading that ought to be done before each section. In other words, read Odum about OSPF watch Laz and then see if you can answer sample questions. If not, rinse and repeat. Focusing on the test while throwing in some real world stuff is also an area Laz excels at balancing. We are taking the course to pass the test. If we come away with a little guidance about how and when most shops use a protocol even better. A positive for veterans is that Laz's style and personality may remind you of people you've been taught by or worked with back in the day.

Hello all, I have achieved CCNA (first try CCNAX) , and from my expirience this course is enough for passing it. You will need more practice in labs, because hands on is the best way to drill it in your head.Laz made good simple labs for starting practice and its enough to get the big picture of networking.I strongly recommend this course with some dumps its a sure win.Good job Lazaro Diaz Best regards

Great course with basic/intermediate knowledge already present. Otherwise it might be confusing at the beginning, but I mean it's the CCNA so you better dig into it. Laz' style of teaching is one you'll have to get used to, but once you've wrapped your head around his way of doing stuff it's awesome. I really began having a great time and understandable structure in my notes after chapter 13. Although he sometimes does refer to something he "has been talking about already" and you cant seem to find what he meant, most of the times it's clearly structured and understandable. The Packet Tracer labs tend to be a bit messy and you just ask yourself: "why is there a password and what is it?" or "did he save it before, after or while he was recording?" But normally it's easy to understand and in the worst case scenario you just build it yourself (which makes up as great practise!). Overall 4.5 stars. EDIT: after finishing the course I must say that it's technically not well maintained. ppt files are missing, packet tracer files are missing or not working anymore (as mentioned above). And I get it, Laz is a teacher with heaps of practical knowledge and probably a "just do it!" person. But his presentation just seems lazy at times. He then tends to justify everything (in the Q&A function of each video) with being good practice, "just build your own lab" but why would you supply any labs at all? why no logical approach to that matter like: "here is a list of network properties, you know the goal, build your own lab!" He is definitely a 5 star teacher from all that you could learn, but the technical and presentational quality of the course is slightly above mediocre. Thus 3.5 stars

The instructor really knows his stuff. I can tell he has been doing this for a while, and has hinted at college teaching. This rating would be the equivalent of a college professor. I would take another class from him, but would put in a little extra effort for verification and understanding. I am a longterm CCNA/P candidate who has finally decided to take the tests. I could take the tests cold with a moderately strong chance of passing, but chose to do some background study and actually touch the hardware (not so much for the CCNA, but more for the CCNP). For me, in this course, there seems to be a lack of in-depth explanation - which I hope will be rectified later. I am taking this class as a refresher more so than strict study, so this is more noticeable to me. There is some obvious (to me) misinformation loudly in the slides in one of the beginning sections that is silently corrected in later sections. In particular, the location in the stack of various protocols. I found myself a couple of time yelling at the screen about the wrongness of the material, only to notice later that the material was silently corrected several sections later. I could attribute this to misspeaking (which happens) but the material was in the background powerpoint and commented (or later, not) upon. This makes me suspect of information that comes in the course that I would have less basis to evaluate. There is a strong assumption going into IP that the student knows what IP is, and how to construct an address (the basic intro lecture in virtually all courses). The instructor also doesn't explain IP classing or half the format in the lecture tiled "Format and Classes of an IPv4 Address". Instead, he teaches basic subnetting in this lecture (again with assumptions about the size of the network). Instead of going deeper to explain and tightly relate the concepts to one another, he just gets louder as a method of explaining. His first subnetting lectures suffer from this - he has a good method for subnetting, but for me - knowing how to subnet - I find his explanation somewhat confusing, and more so for new students, who I expect will have to rewatch the lecture multiple times, and read the book the instructor suggested or find a different source (with a different method). I appreciate the fact that the instructor is not simply a "purveyor of knowledge" but can inject a little experiential wisdom and humor and teach. However, I don't think there is enough substance there to abstract the concepts out and really learn the material beyond the surface level memorization of tables. However I feel that there is enough to adequately sit for exams. Catch this course with a $10 or $15 sale, and it is well worth the cost.

I'm not a native english speaker, but I think, this man speak very understandable, and what was realy important to remember, he said twice. But hey, for the beginning it is sure very good instructor. He teach you with very easy way, take your attention even, when you are tired, what is very valuable. As I have no objective overview of what cisco realy realy want from me, this course gave me what for basic (but no very basic) overview is needed. Now I know, on what rivet attention. As Laz said, training make perfect. So, lets get this done! Thanks Laz

This was a comprehansive course, i have yet to go to the exam and take it on, but one thing i didn't like is that some presentations using power point were displayed in the screen but where not available to download, attachments don't reflect what was displayed on screen, for example in the section regarding API "Introduction to Evolution of Intelligent Networks" some powerpoint presentation shows a flow-chart in the screen, but the downloaded power-point presentation is mere text some audio issues there and there that was still not fixed. and the advices need to be written on the presentation other than that very short and informative, i recommend it to everyone

I had taken a 'boot camp' course in a classroom and was overwhelmed with the amount of information in such a short time. This course really nails it when it comes to detailed explanations, great hands-on labs using packet tracer and best of all you can always go back and review anything you want. The instructor is very upbeat and encouraging and I like his real-life experience in the field. Great course!
