Course Description

  Communication Skills for the Teleprompter. Imagine that you are giving a speech in front of thousands of people, and you are reading the Teleprompter as seamlessly and flawlessly as Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton ever did. Wouldn't it be nice to know that you can deliver a speech or newscast using a Teleprompter and that you will look and sound natural like you aren't really reading?

  In this How to Use a Teleprompter Communication Skills course, you will learn the following:

  * How to avoid the common Communication Skills blunders that make most people look and sound horrible when they are using a Teleprompter

  * How to rehearse with the Teleprompter using video

  * How to look natural

  * How to sound conversational

*How to demonstrate strong Communication Skills while reading a Teleprompter

  This Communication Skills course is delivered primarily through spoken lectures. Because the skill you are learning is speaking related, it only makes sense that you learn through speaking.

  The Communication Skills you will learn in this class is not primarily theoretical or academic. It is a skill that requires physical habits. That is why you will be asked to take part in numerous exercises where you record yourself speaking on video, and then watching yourself. Learning presentation skills is like learning how to ride a bicycle. You simply have to do it numerous times and work past the wobbling and falling off parts until you get it right.

  This Communication Skills course contains numerous video lectures plus several bonus books for your training library.

  TJ Walker has been coaching and training people on their Communication Skills for 30 years. Now, through the power of Udemy's online platform, he is able to give you the same high quality training that he gives in person to CEOs, Fortune 500 executives, and Presidents of countries. Only you can now receive the training at a tiny fraction of the normal fee for in-person training.

  How long this Communication Skills course takes is up to you. The longest part of the course involves you speaking on video, critiquing yourself, and doing it over until you like it. But if you get to the point where you love how you look and sound when you present it will be well worth the time spent. And having this skill will save you time for all future presentations in your life.

  You can begin improving your presentation skills right now. You may have an opportunity to speak out as soon as tomorrow, so why waste another day worried that your presentation skills are not up to high standards. Please enroll today.

"5 Stars! I took TJ's course as part of my prep for becoming a Udemy Instructor and his simple 4 points gave me the few distinctions that I was looking for when using a teleprompter. I did the exercises and I'm pleased with the results. Key learning is that whilst a Teleprompter is very useful there are times when it may not be necessary or appropriate. If you do the exercises I believe you can get a lot out of this course. It's simple, useful, and to the point!" Udemy student Gerry Murray

"5 Stars! This training is significantly better thought-through than most "Teleprompter How To's" on the lnternet. It also employs simple but effective pedagogy and learning techniques." Udemy student Robert Lindquist

"5 Stars! Nice and very useful course. I liked it and I recommended it." Udemy student Darci Zuffo

"5 Stars! Someone who is experienced and knowledgeable doesn't have to pretend - they know - no pretence, no name dropping - just solid knowledge being passed on to students in a simple, "doable" way. The supporting material contains many treasures. Just watch TJ Walker - it's an education in itself - an amazing communicator!" Udemy student Lorraine Arams

 "5 Stars! Walker nails it on this one. Short and insight tips that are born out of his years of experience guides you through how and how not to use a teleprompter. I really enjoyed his focus and short videos with practice assignments built in. Thanks for a great class." Rev. Steve Wright

This course will also help students in the following areas: Virtual sales presentations, pitching yourself, virtual interviewing, remote selling, and communicating to drive change.

TJ's message is clear and focused. He expects his students to put in the work to show improvement. I appreciate that!

The course is educating me on not just using the teleprompter but how to be confident when speaking in public, how to articulate and get my ideas across by grabbing peoples attention.

By Mary-Ann Darby on 4/23/2022

I really enjoy the course, I have made most of my mistakes before starting the course and I am still working at it. I guess the title said it correctly Use a teleprompter but I guess I would have appreciated demos of a few simple teleprompter. I have one and the coma, the bold etc do not show. I have issues with light which is a whole other thing but having a few affordable suggestions would have put the icing on the cake for me. But as I said this was not the title of the course. I am French please disregard my grammar. thank you so much!

This course mentioned that it has 10 hours of video material. In reality it is not even one hour. I went through the 1st and 2nd session which completes the course and even issues certificate. Expected some bonus videos for remaining 9 hours. Myself and my family members have taken at least 25 courses from Udemy and many have not even been started even after 3 months of purchase. But this is the first time I am going to ask for refund (Counting 9 hours for reading material is sin.) I have subscribed other courses of TJ and really wished to know more about teleprompter but disappointed as I am planning to become Udemy instructor.

TJ Walker clearly knows his stuff. His focus is not merely on content. He genuinely ruts for his students to practice using the teleprompter and to become really good at doing so.

By Lasse Badsberg-Hansen on 2/8/2018

Extensive, informative and straight to the point. Engaged instructor with obvious experience and natural incorporation of all the skills he teaches. If you are willing to commit the hours of training needed to become teleprompter professional, I highly recommend this course.
