Course Description
This program will teach you how to elevate your leadership communications skills as a manager. It's aimed to teach you smart and effective communications strategies. Whether you're a new manager or have been managing a team, Jessica Chen's course will teach you how to level-up one of the most important skills for business and career-success: great communications.
We break down this course into 3 easy-to-follow sections:
1. How to Have a Manager's Mindset
Everyone has the ability to lead a team effectively. But how? The first thing you'll need to do is to have a manager's mindset. Learn how to do this through overcoming the fear to lead, setting clear expectations, and learning the importance of establishing psychological safety.
2. How to Communicate as a Manager
Now that you're in the right headspace, we'll dive deep into communication strategies. How you convey your message to your team will play a big role in your team's success. We share tips on how to inspire and motivate your team and how to harness the power of nonverbal communications.
3. How to Provide Team Feedback
Communications is not a one-size-fit-all model. There is an art to speaking with tact, clarity and empathy. You'll learn techniques on how to lead effective team meetings, give constructive 1-1 feedback, and navigate tricky conversations.

Thank you for putting together such a relevant and high-energy course. I found the modules to be exactly what I needed as a new manager. I particularly wanted to highlight the AI role-playing component—that was a remarkable addition. It made the practical side of the course feel much more immersive and effective than traditional video lessons. Great work!

was interesting and a great tool to use AI to train although I felt like I did say what they were asking but still did not pick up on it.

By Kristine Pineda on 3/25/2026
A lot of the points were super helpful especially the SBI method. It is a fantastic reminder that each meeting/encounter with my team is important and leaves an impact on them and hence I have to be more intentional about what I say.

Very Good course and well explained the communication requirement, methods and tools. also Practice modules are very useful to understand the real scenario and evaluate self where i am.

Content is okay. I'm not that enamoured with the presentation style, but that's a very subjective preference -the text on the screen is often verbatim what the presenter says in an energetic yet laboured manner.
