He is gentle with his teaching. I enjoyed the inclusion of movies. As well as understanding the letters are, difficult to learn and practice is needed.

It's a good course but it could be a bit better. There was a few mistakes that the instructor should have fixed and maybe changed some of the sentences as it won't be useful as a daily conversation. Also if I didn't know a few words from before, it would be a bit harder to understand this course. But overall it's a good course. didi madloba

First of all, I'd like to mention that somebody who knows a DIFFICULT language, such as Kartuli, means that's THEIR native language. Therefore, obviously, they will have an accent when teaching others in THEIR native language. Does that make sense? This means that person learned YOUR language, and now is teaching THEIR language. So, to criticize them because they have an accent or don't sound native to the English language is hypocritical, because you're learning a language that you'd most likely have an accent in. Secondly, Kartuli is a difficult language. I am fluent in Russian as my second language (1st language being American English), but my bloodline is 50% Georgian. Kartuli is so foreign to me, so therefore very difficult as it does not resemble Russian in 90% of ways (as Russian is Cyrillic, and Kartuli is guttural), but I'd like to learn and I practice as anyone else should. Learning a language is not like learning to drive a car: it takes a personal reason to commit to such a task, and takes dedication. For the most part, this instructor breaks it down very well, as best he can, with Kartuli being his native language. Otherwise, one of the flaws I caught was the description saying "easy", but realistically it is not easy but difficult. I have a natural interest in this language because of my ancestry, and therefore, this is a VERY well worth resource to have when you are dedicated to learning the Georgian (Kartuli) language.

on the practice lessons before i bought the course, his speed was perfect but now ive paid he speaks to fast, and doesn't break down the words so don't waste your money

I already have a fair knowledge of Georgian, especially the formal grammar, but I really want to express myself accurately and with good pronounciation in everyday and more advanced contexts. This course will be good consolidation. If there is an advanced course in preparation I would interested to take that as well.

Tough lesson ... but good organization of entire alphabet in first lesson. A little more on the multiple sounds (ie: lots of k) and possibly on vertical alignment of the letters might be helpful.

For the first video, it was very accessible and I am pairing it with other texts, and I feel like this is a perfect companion course.
