I would recommend using this course after undertaking a longer course on RHEL, particularly if you plan on sitting RHCSA. In addition, this course is a mix of RHEL 8 and RHEL 9 content so be aware of that. Pros: Awesome refresher on commands, location of files, and showing varied ways of executing commands. Highly useful as they go into various options not covered in longer courses. Cons: Little explanation of the context. This is why I'd recommend doing a longer course first and then undertaking this one to refresh you knowledge and learn new ways of achieving your goals.

Just finished the course. In general it's good but here are the things that I suggest. - The laptop pad tapping can be a nuisance at some point - suggestion use a keyboard and a mouse. - Less flagging with the mouse to show what you did. - The Section 10 - Managing Containers Images was kind of straightforward and I will have to dig more to understand the concepts. It was not well explained. Section 11 - Bash Shell Scripting is more interesting in a full course then having to show random scripts but if this course is suppose to prepare us for a RHCSA exam I fear this section is incomplete. In general I'm satisfied with the content. ;-)

I'm halfway through now. For me, this has been reasonable, though some additional commentary on some of the items would be good. For example, is selinux covered on the RHCSA exam, because it's being covered for setting up both NTP and Apache and allowing them through. While I'm absolutely enjoying this course, I also spent over a decade in corporate America doing UNIX work (HP-UX, AIX, Digital/Tru64 UNIX, etc.), though none of it was as "exciting" to me as it is doing it under Linux. I just don't see an absolute beginner going through this course as quick as I'm able to at 1.5 speed, but again, I'm pleased with it so far and I would love for you to also add one for RHSE, which appears to mainly focus on Ansible, which you've been kind enough to include a book on (thank you!).

It was nice experience learning with Bandar Alghaleb. I found the demos & the commands to be pretty good, but the underlying concepts are not explained in some topics. For me it was a quick refresher of all the commands & steps, but I felt it will be a bit difficult for a complete new fellow into Linux. Also I might suggest to provide some doc/slide for quick revision, rest a nice course overall with exact rating 3.8 from my side. Thanks, worth spending your time.

It was very clear and pointed on whats necessary, i am surprised, wasn't expecting this much content. And on top the gifts are really good. If you prepare for the exam, jump on this. I am more than great full that i picked this one. Its sometimes overwhelming with so much available courses, and could be that there are better ones out there but i was fully happy!

This course contained all of the material on my RHCSA exam. Granted, practicing on my own multi-vm host was where the knowledge became experience. This course got me started on my own experimenting with the technologies. I liked the podman, stratis, vdo technologies and they were all on my exam which I passed. Thanks

Ahmed did a great job! he explained everything clearly even if you don't have any knowledge about Linux you can learn easily with this course, one thing that I personally feel with the course that there is a lack of chapter wise exercises and MCQs which must be added, it was my first course that I completed on udemy, overall the experience was good

By Marc Gilliatt on 2/2/2021

Overall this is a good course. It took me a while to get used to the instructor's accent, I know this isn't his fault. The pace felt good, and there was good info all around. I do feel that the chapters for containers and bash scripting felt rushed and was added quickly to set apart this course from the other RHCSA courses on Udemy as they didn't have any sections on containers or shell scripting. I do recommend the course for people who are taking the RHCSA like myself, and also recommend the book Linux RHCSA Fast Track Study Guide, this book and this course combined will make sure you pass the RHCSA exam.

Excellent course and materials! It's very well organized course and very efficient if you are a beginner at Linux. It is a practical course and it is a good preparation for the RHCSA exam. I really appreciate the effort in this course and I highly recommend it.

By John Philson on 9/6/2020
