Course Description
Learning 3D packages can be very complex and time-consuming when doing it by yourself. I want to make the learning process easy for you, going through the basics of the program step by step in very detailed videos.
There's a whole section of the course dedicated to interface, menus, and tools, that way, students who are not experienced at all can go back as many times as needed.
But that doesn't mean it will only be useful to new users. Intermediate to advanced students will find content in these lessons very useful too, as we go through the fundamentals of creating concept art and models using powerful modeling techniques and shortcuts.
In this course we will create a robot from A to Z. From drawing concept art images until presentation and final image enhancement in photoshop.
We will go through sketching the robot in photoshop using real photographs as reference and inspiration, blocking out a rough version of the asset, modeling all the pieces, rendering with Maya's built in Arnold Renderer, and adding the final touches in Photoshop.
You'll learn tips and shortcuts that will accelerate your workflow and make you understand the fundamentals of 3D modeling.
We'll cover powerfull techniques to create professional looking images to sell our work as 3D artists.
So please, take this course now.
Testimonials:
"Awesome class with very clear instructions! Taught me more than my college class has so far."
- Nyle Billups
"As a Maya intermediate user, this course was very useful for me, it helped me refine my workflow a lot."
- Omar Kamel
"I am really enjoying this so far. I think what Alex is good at is at making things enjoyable. Photoshop always felt awkward to me for painting and making concept art but by starting with a sillhoute, mixing and matching and running through the techniques he provides it actually makes the step enjoyable and fun."

I like this course, it is pretty detailed for beginners and has some valuable tips, but lecturer has no script, sometimes there are long pauses, because he thinks about what to tell next and weird noises during his progress of thinking. I wish this course was better prepared, but no regrets for now definitely.

great course for beginners. however, during the modeling portion you lost me at "wait thats not what i wanted" types of comments. maybe practice before recording the session so that i dont have to do it wrong first before you correct yourself and then i have to unlearn something.

This course is already awesome! I'm trying to get into my college's animation program, and they prefer students who already have some experience with character development and software (like Photoshop or Maya). Being able to visualize the character from the reference photos and create character silhouettes is way easier than I was expecting.

gostei bastante do curso, gostei da abordagem dele antes de entrar no software 3d(maya). algumas tecnicas de modelagem eu teria feito diferente, mas é uma coisa mais pessoal, mas fora isso foi muito bom o curso

Alex is clear in every one of their explanations. The course was quick and clean and I created a great piece from it! This course personally helped me understand that a great product can come out very well executed if you take your tome from the very beginning and not rush, as explained in the very beginning of this course. There are some commands in the programs used that I wish the instructor explained a little more than just once since they are used more than once over the lesson. Overall, this course is great, would take another class from him again!

Great explanations all the way through the course! Ive just finished the rendering part, and it turned out great. Only thing I missed was explanation on some of the rendering features, on what they did, but he answers any questions and helps you out by mail. Five stars all the way!

I thought the instructor explained nicely. It was easy to follow and gave some great tips. Normally in a video tutorial longer than 10 minutes, I get bored, find it difficult to concentrate and everything the instructor has said leaves my mind. This is certainly not the case with this course. The only negative I found was that in the videos on Photoshop, the instructor obviously has either a touch screen device or some external pen device to sketch. It would have been nice to know what equipment he was using.

This was very nice. The section with all the tools in separate videos is super helpful. I constantly went back to check it every time I forgot how a tool works.

I have been looking to model characters in Maya after graduating from Full Sail University. This is a great tutorial, although I wish he had gone over UV unwrapping the model, but at least now I have something to play with for my portfolio.
