Course Description

Do you want to create 3D printable tabletop miniatures? Did you just pick up zBrush to do so?
Then this course is for you!

This course assumes no prior knowledge in zBrush and starts from the beginning, aiming to give you a basic foundation to build upon.

Other beginner level zBrush courses are often not aimed at 3D printing tabletop miniatures as the end product. Because of that they may cover things that may not be of use to you, and may skip teaching things that are required when exporting models for 3D printing.

My goal is to create a simple and easy to follow beginner level course. I want you to experience an early victory of holding your own 3D printed miniature in your hand to feel more motivated about continuing your journey of learning zBrush.

In the first section I will launch zBrush with you for the first time together, and show you how to quickly get into edit mode to start playing with digital clay. Then I will show you how to customize your UI to better follow the rest of the course. In the next section I go through the various tools and functions we will be using most. And finally I will show you the entire process start to finish of creating a simple target dummy miniature for 3D printing.

And as an added bonus to students of this course, I have created a Discord group you can join to share progress and ask for feedback or for help.

No risk: If this course ends up being not what you expected there is always a 30-day money-back guarantee. No questions asked!

Just did the first video so far. Nice relaxed approach to exploring the software and so far my adhd didn't pull me away from the course! Looking forward to the rest of it!

This is a Fantastic Course, Jamie is a talented teacher and explains everything very well. This course will definitely get you up and running from zero to a fully sculpted model ready for 3D printing. I highly recommend. PS: I used a very old copy of Zbrush (4R7) and even though some tools and plugins are missing I still was able to get by and finish with little issue. Very Well Done!

I'm taking ZBrush courses on Udemy because I'd like to start sculpting professionally in a couple years, so I got three beginners courses and have been going through them concurrently. What I liked about this course was that you dive right into the project and start sculpting without delay. None of the concepts are too difficult to get as a noobie, nor is any of sculpting asked of you too difficult to correctly follow along with. I really appreciated that over the other courses I'm trying, where the instructor would generally explain what to do, but then would start sculpting in ways that you just can't replicate well as a beginner. With that said, you do get a decent variety of things to sculpt, weapons, armor, wood texture, fabric, I think it covers most of what you need to know for miniature sculpting, even if it's just the first step in mastering these things. I don't know how to make a space marine yet, but I do think after this course you'll be able to sculpt some simple miniatures. And at a mere five hours in length, it'll be easy to rewatch and relearn individual concepts as you need them, or simply to repeat the entire course and just get better in general.

I am glad that I watched this course for the first time, the instructor teaches in great detail and patiently. He shows everything several times and repeats every key combination almost until the end of the course, which is extremely good because it is very difficult to memorize so many combinations. It shows the longer things twice in a row. Perfect teacher. I hope there will be similar videos at the intermediate and advanced level as well. Thank you :))

outstanding course. information is straight forward and easy to understand. some actions do take time to get used to but that's more about my learning zbrush and not how the information was delivered. When learning anything new patience and repetition are key.

Solid information and well presented. Zbrush was always going to be a steepish learning curve, but the instructor does a good job of breaking it down into key categories.

I have been using Zbrush for a while before deciding to try the course, and I was struggling with simple things that this course provided solutions for! I would have liked to see the figure actually printed! I am looking forward for an advanced course that might tackle humanoid shapes/clothes and more complex objects.

Most straightforward course on Zbrush out of several I’ve sampled. Enjoying his workflow, UI, and process and the use case is in perfect alignment with my goals. Only negative is that there isn’t more courses.

The instructor was very clear and knowledgable and the lessons were easy to follow along. I managed to print my first 3D model without any issues and would highly recommend this course to anyone wishing to learn ZBrush and in particular, to produce their own STL files for slicing.

A very great course to sculpt 3d printable minis in zbrush. The instructor explains the tools necessary from the very basic to get started for creating miniatures even if you never touched the software.Loved it.
