Course Description
Great interactions don't have to be complicated — sometimes a clean, well-built tab interaction is exactly what your learners need. In this mini course, Sensei Jeff will walk you through how to create a polished, functional tab interaction from scratch inside Articulate Storyline 360.
Jeff kicks things off by talking about finding visual inspiration for your tab interaction, helping you think through design before you ever open Storyline. From there, you'll learn how to set up your Articulate Storyline file the right way from the start — structured and organized so it can be easily shared with other members of your team.
You'll dive into building custom buttons and custom button states that go beyond the defaults, adding layers of functionality and visual feedback that elevate the learner experience. Jeff also covers the proper way to set up any interaction inside Storyline so it stays easy to manage, update, and repurpose as a template down the road.
Finally, you'll bring it all together as Sensei Jeff walks you through using triggers and variables to power the interactivity of the tab experience. You'll finish the course knowing not just how to build this specific interaction, but how to properly package and share your creation with teammates so anyone on your team can pick it up and run with it.

Good teacher overall. Understood the concept. At times there was a tendancy to elaborate a particular point and provide alternate scenarios which kind of made it confusing to grasp. Also variables in articulate is still something I need to learn. All in all good course.

Excellent course. Enjoyed learning how to create a tab interaction. For the most part, the pace was good. I think would have preferred a slightly slower pace for the more “complex” actions (around lessons 14/15). Overall a great course! Looking forward to the next one.

I found the presenter's course speed alright, not too fast or too slow, and he was certainly knowledgeable of the subject. The practical examples were beneficial and have some application within the real world. This course is also a part of the Create eLearning course with Articulate Storyline 360, listed under the Storyline in Action series. But as it is currently listed on Udemy for FREE, it is well worth doing, if nothing else for the recap.

Excellent all the way around: the graphic design, the explanations, the attention to detail. The explanation of the complex, multi-layered triggers is especially appreciated, as well as the IF/THEN logic. Also, really appreciate the pacing of both the information presented and his speed of his speech (not too fast, not too slow).

Excellent tutorial! Voice is clear and easy to listen to. Instructions are easy to follow. Always tells you what he's clicking on and where it is. He explains the "why" and not just the "how"!

The interactive demonstration was great for applying the techniques being taught. I was able to successfully create a working Storyline on the first attempt with no prior experience. I was also able to troubleshoot my own errors. Excellent course and excellent instructor!

Not able to understand from Session6 - need some more clear explanation. Also the screnshots getting cut some times so its very confusing.

Great course and easy to understand pace so far. Obviously, as a beginner I needed to go back and forwards through slides a few times. But, I'm getting a great deal of info e.g. how to set default fonts that I've not been able to find the usual way through the Articulate website itself!

Muy didáctico y bien estructurado como curso. Resulta fácil de seguir, es ameno y entretenido. Explicado con caridad y el contenido es práctico y muy aplicable. En paralelo la interfaz del sitio web es súper amigable lo que facilita la visualización. Felicitaciones !

I enjoyed this Articulate Storyline course very much and would like to recommend the course to others which helps them to understand the basics of using variables, and triggers in a very simple and efficient way. It starts with developing an interface and ends with creating a template for any elearning projects, in between you will learn lots more on updating master slides, adding layers, changing states, using variables and triggers. Thanks a ton Jeff.
