Course Description

What You'll Learn:

  1. Master cognitive bias defense and use AI to challenge your assumptions, expose blind spots, and build bulletproof logic before making critical decisions

  2. Apply proven decision-making frameworks (OODA Loop, 5 Whys, Pre-Mortem Analysis, First Principle Thinking) accelerated by AI, to diagnose real problems and find root causes

  3. Lead teams that overcome Groupthink, Social Conformity, and Opinion Dominance through structured critical thinking processes

  4. Craft powerful AI prompts that transform generic outputs into strategic insights using the 5 principles of effective prompting and advanced questioning techniques

AI generates more content in seconds than you could read in a lifetime.

We're drowning in a flood of information where the line between fact and fiction has never been blurrier.

The single most dangerous question facing every professional today is: What's real?

42% of frequent AI users simply trust AI-generated recommendations without questioning them.

They've stopped evaluating information independently.

Their critical thinking muscles have atrophied.

Here's the paradox:

The same AI creating this chaos can become your most powerful tool for cutting through it.

But there is more to it... Even without AI!

The High Cost of Uncritical Thinking

You've been in these meetings.

A confident voice dominates the room.

Everyone nods in agreement, even though something feels off.

You stay silent.

Weeks later, the project fails because of the exact issue you sensed but didn't voice.

Or you've rushed to implement the "obvious" solution, only to discover months later that you solved the wrong problem entirely—wasting time, money, and team morale.

The problem isn't your intelligence.

It's that critical thinking—the ability to pause, question assumptions, and analyze information objectively—has become one of the hardest skills to practice in our dopamine-fueled, always-on world.

Until now.

Your New Superpower: AI as Your Thinking Partner

This course teaches you to use AI not as a replacement for your thinking, but as a relentless sparring partner that challenges your assumptions, stress-tests your logic, and helps you see blind spots you didn't know existed.

You'll master battle-tested frameworks from the military (OODA Loop), Toyota's manufacturing floor (5 Whys), and elite strategy consultants ('Kill your company' or Pre-Mortem Analysis).

All turbocharged with AI to work at the speed of modern business.

What You'll Actually Master

This isn't theory.

You'll learn by doing, applying each framework to real scenarios:

Psychological Defense System
Identify and counter the cognitive biases sabotaging your decisions, from Confirmation Bias that makes you see only what you want to see, to Groupthink that turns smart teams into echo chambers.

You'll use AI prompts to become your own Devil's Advocate.

Problem Diagnosis Toolkit
Stop jumping to solutions.

Master the 5 Whys to find root causes, apply First Principle Thinking to break problems down to fundamental truths, and use the OODA Loop to make rapid decisions when information is incomplete.

Team Critical Thinking Leadership
Build psychologically safe environments where the best ideas win, not the loudest voices.

Learn to facilitate After Action Reviews and "Kill Your Company" exercises that expose risks before they become disasters.

Advanced AI Prompting for Insight
Transform generic AI outputs into powerful strategic analysis.

Master the five principles of effective prompting: rich context, specific action verbs, role assignment, scope definition, and iterative refinement.

The Art of Powerful Questions
Learn the difference between questions that shut down thinking and questions that unlock breakthrough insights.

Master Hypothesis Questions and the Miracle Question technique to overcome seemingly impossible constraints.

Why This Matters Right Now

Every day you wait, you're making decisions based on unchallenged assumptions, untested "facts," and cognitive shortcuts your brain uses to save energy.

People who master this will stop being order-takers who "just execute the plan."

They'll become the strategists who see the real problem, architect the right solution, and deliver results that matter.

This course gives you an unfair advantage:

The ability to think clearly when everyone else is overwhelmed by noise.

Learn how to lead in a world where AI does half of what leadership used to mean.

In Axel Rittershaus's courses, you build the skill that matters most now. Not how to use the tools. How to make the calls that the tools cannot. You will learn to spot the decisions that are actually yours, to lead people through change without faking certainty, and to stay the person on the team whose judgment others trust when the answers stop being obvious.

More than 300,000 people have already learned from his courses, in plain language, with methods you can use the same day. No theory for its own sake. Every lesson is built to work in your next meeting, not just in your notes.

Axel knows both sides of the room. He built software and ran tech companies before he spent 17 years coaching leaders in over 20 countries, from new managers to the boards of international corporations. That is why his courses connect what AI can do with what only a human leader can.

Usefull perspectives and tools to apply in reallife. The questionary to Leaderships not incluude team madurity that is so important to leadership. The autonomy in principiant teams in my opinion is not possible

By Frank Niagro on 9/16/2026

One of the fundamental rules for instructional presentation is to not continually distract the students with distracting hand gestures, especially those that cross in front of the presenter's face. Making such gestures continually through a presentation presents so much of a distraction that viewers are turned off and they naturally check out. Unfortunately, this distractive behavior is the hallmark of Udemy and other courses. At least the rate of speech was not too fast, as seems to be another hallmark of current courses. The larger failure of this course is the absence of performance-oriented training for performance-based skills. If the intent of this course is to provide some level of skill, then it should have included at least some performative exercises. If not, then the length is much too long.

This is a great course for beginners and intermediate learners on the use of AI tools. I really enjoyed and was impressed on the deep and critical thinking sections; in other words how to get AI to help you think, rather than telling you what to think. The downloadable resources are really handy to help you implement the learnings.

By Karen Brownlee on 9/10/2026

Provides a good analysis of how to go about getting the most out of AI with effective detailed prompts. It made me think about some concepts I hadn't considered before.

By Eric Levario on 6/30/2026

I love the purpose of this training and has honestly been the best I've encountered so far. Pointing out the need for critical thought when utilizing AI as a tool and not a definite resource is really needed in society today. Honestly this should be taught in grade school at this point. (It is, just not focused on AI)

By MONIKA LAZAR on 6/29/2026

The course was very engaging and informative. The instructor clearly knows the subject well and presents the material in an interesting and accessible way. His expressiveness and delivery really capture attention and keep me involved throughout. I am very satisfied with the course and would definitely recommend it.

By Joel Klefbom Ridderstrale on 5/26/2026

Great insight into more thoughtful and directed prompting and inclusion of AI within my workflow, with clear examples of how to apply the knowledge and a terrific library of materials to save for later!

By Cindy Lee on 4/21/2026

very informative and useful sessions to under the foundations of critical thinking in the AI age...pause, stop and think instead of jumping to it with the solutions provided by AI.

By Joeri Borensztajn on 4/19/2026

Dear Axel, Really a stunning course! Truly highly recomendedfor anyone looking to not only improve their critical thinking but also master using AiI as a personal agent or consultant to challenge our thoughts and behaviours.

By Anonymized User on 3/20/2026

This is so far probably the best course on leveraging AI in an intelligent way that I have taken. It has a very pragmatic and precise approach- exactly what I love. I strongly recommend it to anyone needing guidance on how to fully leverage not only AI as an ally, but their own critical thinking power.
