It has been years-more than two decades-since I have played poker. Recently, I found micro-stakes poker online and bought in on a $2 game. This did two things. 1. It made me realize how much I love the game and 2. It brought to light just how much I have forgotten, and how much I never really knew or even thought about in my younger days. I am finding the course material to be insightful and helpful in regard to my understanding of important factors that influence which hands one chooses to play, when and why. I'm excitedly looking forward to applying what I have learned so far, and even more excited to dive deeper into this course and making my poker game the best that it can be.

Alton is a fantastic teacher. He is patient and engages with his students making them feel they are actually part of the class going through the learning process together. I come from an adhd/dyslexic background and sometimes I may ask questions that others might find obvious, or I might hit a roadblock during a learning path that takes me a bit longer to figure out the get around. Alton has helped me so much answering all of my questions and helping me through this learning process that I thought I would never be able to actually do.

In the last 8 months, I have done 7-8 courses and read dozens of books on poker. I honestly feel for playing at micros with 100 bb stack, this is the best course. Not only ideas and strategies are here, but also the logic behind why to do certain things. This course helped me in many ways. Even in understanding why authors of other courses are saying to do something. As in other courses, we will find only guidelines not the rationale behind it. One more thing I haven't seen the author of any other course (poker, programming, etc) being so much responsive. Taking time to reply to all of the queries of students. I always get replies to all my doubts even some futile doubts. This is really great thing about Alton. Last but not least this course transformed me from a losing player to a winning player. Eternal gratitude for that.

I have gone from a micro'player' that was afraid to put any money in the pot and never winning to what I believe to be a decent player. I am winning more often than not, I am not afraid to put money in, and I punish weak players now that I am using a HUD. Great course. Very detailed, well laid out course for both beginners and experienced players. One thing I can say would help for the more visual learners, would be a little more actual live play examples within the specific lessons to properly show how to implement some of the exploitive plays and so forth. But all in all, I found the course material to be more than informative, and definitely helping in shaping my overall play. Thanks For the great course and your response to my questions/posts Alton.

This course is absolutely amazing! If you are new to Poker or if you have not played for some time and want to get back into poker and learn the game properly, this course is an absolute must! At this point, December 2017, the course is 17.5 hours long! When you watch this course, you will keep asking yourself why this course is so damn cheap! I have watched a few of Alton Hardin's courses and I have 3 more to go. The level of confidence that I feel right now after watching a few of his courses is quite unbelievable. Alton is patient and systematic. He teaches you all you need to know to improve your game. After taking all of his Microstakes Poker courses, you would be good enough to improve your win rate and eventually move up to 25nl and 50nl where, as Alton puts it, the real money is. Thank you very much Alton for teaching. I look forward to studying any future courses that you might come out with.

This course provide you with all the tools and tactics that you need to know about, so you can have a real edge over your opponents at this level. I don't think it's possible to get a course with this high standard with the bargain price you have to pay else where. Alton is a very good teacher, he goes through all the concepts so a person with no knowledge about poker will understand. There is a serios amount of theory to learn and to compehend, so it is very wise to rehearse the sections. Let all the information to sink in while playing poker, so you can implement your learnings from the course. A give the course 5 of 5 stars all days a week.

This is a must take course for beginning poker players. It covers all the basic fundamentals that beginners need to understand and implement into play in order to become winning players at micro stakes. Alton explains all the fundamental concepts in very easy to understand manner with great examples, live demonstrations, reviews and provides useful students exercises to fasten your learning experience as you follow along through the course. If you are really new to these concepts you may have to review certain lectures twice or three times but it all ties nicely together in the end once you practice enough and then revisit the lectures you might have been struggling with earlier and view them with your new gained learning experiences from live plays and compare/combine the theory and practice. We all start in the beginning, and Alton makes it much easier for you than what it would take for you to do on your own...Just follow along, remember to do the exercises and you will be fine.
