WHAT STUDENTS ARE SAYING
"Alton is very easy to understand and is thorough with his explanations. Keeps a good pace and presents information in a fashion that makes sense and builds upon previous lectures. Would definitely recommend his classes to others." — Matthew ★★★★★
"I took this to help someone else. But Alton had a free subnetting class he offered that I took and it was fantastic. SO, thought I would pay for this and he did not disappoint. On point teaching and loads of helps. Very good person to learn from." — Wayne ★★★★★
"I've taken a few IT courses here at Udemy and by far Alton is the best instructor in my opinion. His English communication is clear & concise. Some other instructors are almost near impossible to understand. Alton is well organized & his content is prepared very well. He always teaches the background information first before he proceeds with the next section. This course has lots of lab content so not only is there excellent theory, but it is demonstrated. This makes absorbing this material that much easier." — Matt ★★★★★
"This course is great! I had very limited knowledge of this material before your course. It has been many years since I have studied anything, but you did a superb job of laying things out and explaining them." — Alan ★★★★★

What can i say and from where shall i start? Alton. One of the greatest Udemy (and I believe not only) tutors of all time. His course was concise, right to the point and very informational. He helped me to pass my MTA exam on 27 May with a score of 86%. I prepared by i) watching Alton's video courses, and ii) reading the official MTA exam book. Just 4 days prior to the exam i watched once again all of the videos without reading the book (again :) ) and I passed. However, i have to admit the exam was a bit tricky. You had to think carefully before you reply and review many questions at the end. The only thing that would "boost" this Udemy course would be to add more practice exams. Alton, sir, I salute you and bound to your magnificence. A million thank you!!!

I pass my certification with 80% using this course and the book the instructor recommended. Honestly, the books will help fill in some of the experience gaps when it comes down to this exam. If you're already experienced in the IT industry all you really need is this course and practice exam questions. I made sure I get at least 90% in all practice test, before taking the exam. Also download and print those Study notes that the instructor provided in the beginning of this course because they are great refreshers right before taking the actual exam. I am planning to take his Security Fundamentals next, and highly recommend this course to anyone trying to decide which instructor to go with for this certification.

I just passed the MTA 98-366 exam on my first attempt this morning, with a score well above requirement and I can say that this course was my best resource for this exam. Alton explains everything clearly and his flash cards / slides are very clear and concise. I actually enjoyed coming home from my full time job and knocking out a section or two every night. Once you complete the course (or during your time taking the course), download his flash cards (Word file) and convert it into a pdf (free to do online), then send the pdf to your smartphone and study the cards through acrobat reader. Study these consistently. Thank you, Alton! Next up for me is MTA 98-367 (security). Looking forward to Alton's Udemy course on that cert.

The course is very thorough, it seems to really cover everything that should be on the MTA 98-366 exam, but in a well explained and simplified way. I substracted half a star for minor errors shown on the lectures that could been easily edited out, alas they are far from a deal-breaker. I'm glimpsing the MOAC book (Also reccomended in the course) toghether with the course and while comparing the topics taught here and their equivalent content in the book, I have to say that Alton has done a great job summarizing the material, as nothing seems to be skipped but also simplified from a few paragraphs to a few sentences, while keeping the essence of the material covered, that takes some high skill! Will update after taking the MTA 98-366 Exam. Update: Took my Exam, passed it without too much effort, very much thanks to this amazing course, that took me just a few weeks to complete at a calm pace. I reccomend to everyone interested in this cert to take Alton's course, it does the job, no extra resources needed. The only thing that I think would improve the course is making the flashcarts also in PPT format to allow them being viewed as a presentation on any device, it's much simpler than printing them or scrolling through a huge MS Word document.

The course is well-taught. Alton is a great instructor and very detailed which I appreciated since I started the course with no IT background other than a couple of computer classes in high school over 15yrs ago. I passed the certification exam on the first try and only studied for 5weeks. The videos and flash cards are fantastic. Alton is knowledgeable of the content and very hands on. He will answer questions even if not related to the course but the industry in general. I’m very happy I took this course because with my certification I’m now qualify to enroll in WGU for Cybersecurity. Money well spent!!!! Will HIGHLY recommend this course and instructor to anyone. Thanks for all your help and resources, Alton!

EDIT: At this time, UDemy only allows 2 exams on a course. I'll keep the initial review up, because if that ever changes then it would be a good addition, but it currently is not possible to have more than 2. It covered all of the fundamental ideals required on the MTA Exam. The only things I would add is one more practice test; the ones in this course test you on the ideas, whereas the MTA tests you on the application of those ideas. So I would add one or two more that focuses on logical application so you can be better prepared for the testing environment. But as far as the course itself goes, this contains all you could need for the MTA.

The only issue I had was that the questions on the practice tests are worded completely different than the questions on the actual test.

I've been in the veterinary medical field the last 11 years with no prior IT experience. I needed to pass the MTA 98-366 exam as an entrance requirement for school. I started with MVA (microsoft's virtual academy) but felt I was not learning, just memorizing. I completed this course in about 5-6 weeks. Passed my exam with an 86%. I felt this course WILL prepare you for passing the MTA 98-366 exam. I also enjoyed the course and his teaching style.
By Justin Smith on 2/28/2019
I've done a few courses on Udemy and this is by far the best I have done. This course is the only study source I used to prepare for the MTA exam and I passed first time so it definitely does the trick. Unlike some courses I have studied, this one was very well organised and structured in a logical manner. I liked that all of the lectures were available to download in pdf and other resources were also made available such as flash cards. The instructor was engaging and made what could potentially be a dry topic very interesting. Alton was also very responsive as I received answers to my questions very quickly. I would recommend this course to anyone who is considering taking the MTA Networking Fundamentals exam.

I am now in section 20. I am extremely happy with this course, I feel like Mr. Alton genuinely cares about not only the information that needs to be passed to me to pass the exam, but also for the future of my IT career. I can tell he'd rather overprepare us for this exam to ensure we pass. Will update further once I've finished the course and start studying. 2nd Edit: Finished the course and am constantly retaking the tests and quizes to prepare for my exam. I am scheduling for tomorrow. I believe that Mr. Alton sufficiently covered all the topics needed to pass and I have confidence I will after more studying. 3rd Edit: I passed with an 80! I really didnt see any questions that were'nt covered in the exam that I can remember. If you want to pass this exam just buy this course.
