Valentin Despa
I teach IT professionals what I wish I'd known earlier.
My foundation is built on years in the trenches as an Agile Enterprise Software Developer, engineering solutions for everything from fast-paced start-ups and SMBs to large global corporations. I hold recognized roles as an AWS Community Builder, Postman Supernova, and GitLab Hero, alongside a deep history of securing and building major open-source projects.
For over a decade, I've taken that real-world experience and quietly built one of the largest learning communities around API tooling, test automation, and DevOps practices. What started as a side YouTube channel turned into hundreds of thousands of learners, conference talks, and team workshops at companies most IT professionals have heard of.
The thread through all of it is the same: take something that looks intimidating and break it down so anyone can understand it in plain language.
Lately, I've been spending more time on practical AI in the workplace. I look at how teams can leverage AI for both everyday knowledge work and hands-on IT engineering, like coding and testing. I focus on cutting through the hype to figure out how AI actually helps IT professionals get work done, build, and ship faster. New formats, same approach.

It's a great course and I learnt a lot. In order to quickly practice, I wanted to get an access to the Github repo and prompts Valentin used in this exciting course but unfortunately I couldn't find them under Resources.

quick peak into what cursor is a just looking approach , intro if you don't want to sit through hours this was well explained and easy to follow. The course also assumes you are already familiar with general developer workflow.

Some details are missing from the current course. Specifically, the prompt to create the PRD and the TODO list. Additionally, more detailed criteria on how to review the PRD to ensure it contains all the necessary information will make the course better.

Valentin covers the essential elements of AI assisted development, emphasizing production techniques for maintainable code over vibe-coding techniques, with thorough explanations of the differences. His editing skills are topnotch and the pacing was smooth.

Great crash course on the Cursor AI-powered tool. I learned how to effectively use this new AI tool through this course. It would have been even better to include sample prompt statements and a requirements file in the resources section.

This course is building a strong foundation and mindset how to use AI as assistant in coding. Yes, AI is very helpful but as a builder we have to make sure the AI who help us to build is building the correct things like we need. By learning this course, I can understand an end to end cycle how to build an app using AI. AI cannot replace all steps but indeed helpful when we know how to use correctly. This course is about helping us to think as an architect rather than merely about how to code using Cursor.

Great content, extremely valuable info on how to control the IA agent, and use it profesionally to get quality code and apps. The use of local Git + github, planinfwith PRD, CI/CD and deployment are the core value of this course. As an old rusty coder this allow me to use my fundamentals in coding to update to 2026 best practices in less than a week. I would have expected to make a simple project and not only watch. Now i will try to recreate the whole project to really learn how to do it.

Covers the general developer workflow with AI, which is great exposure for new devs or anyone curious to see how AI is making things faster regarding code. There's room for improvement, such as adding a document with the prompts used and a template to aid with project planning.

Very useful information and enjoyed the approach to solve complex, helped me understand the faults in my approach and will explore some more features and doables of cursor seeing this have made me realise there could be more done

A short, well-paced course that hits the key topics for software development with Cursor. Would love to see it expanded with deeper coverage of Cursor rules, MCP usage, and practical tips and tricks to get the most out of the tool.
