Course Description
Today in the Automotive autonomous driving, connected cars, electric vehicles, and shared mobility—have dominated the agenda of automotive industry leaders in recent years. These innovations, built on the digitization of in-car systems, the extension of car IT systems into the back end, and the propagation of software, turn modern cars into information clearinghouses while also making them tempting targets for cyberattacks,
Lets have a short look about interesting information of last 4 years
The frequency of cyberattacks on cars increased 225 percent from 2018 to 2021
Nearly 85% of attacks in 2021 were carried out remotely, outnumbering physical attacks four to one.
40% of attacks targeted back-end servers.
2021 saw 54.1% of attacks carried out by Malicious actors, up from 49.3% in 2020
The top attack categories were data/privacy breach (38%), car theft/break-ins (27%), and control systems (20%).
Keyless entry and key fob attacks account for 50% of all vehicle thefts. Thieves only need to be close to the key fob for a Black Hat hacker to pick up and reproduce its signal.
In very few years Cybersecurity will raise as a mandatory element in Automotive and this course will be helpful understanding the overall view about Cyber security concepts.

The topics covered were exactly what i was looking for and it was explained very well. Scope for improvement: 1. The GIF animations in the slides are very annoying and distracting. Most of the times, they are not even needed for explaining the topic. Please remove them 2. The quiz in the end teaches CAN trace interpretation. I am not sure how is it relevant to this course. Is it an idea to teach us how hackers extract info from CAN traces? But there was no section covering this topic earlier in the course. 3. ISO 21434 was just reading the document. There was not much to explain. You could have shared those points in a document and given to us for download. 4. The slides shown in the course should have been given to us for download. It would have saved me lot of time as I spent time in noting down points. Since this course is mostly theoretical, points could have been mentioned in slides, Overall, the content is quite good

Based on the 50% of course videos course is detailed with data for understanding, I want this course to make me ready as a Automotive cybersecurity expert where i can work with real industry ready jobs and projects and move my career in that direction .

Course fit to my expectations: Good explanations and introduction to the topic. Slight downrating because some of the quizzes are broken (see other comments) and the linked URLs in the CAN Trace test dont't work.

Introduction is very helpful to understand what, why, which and How Cybersecurity attacks. All the topics on cybersecurity is crystal clear, easy to understand and can recommended to any Automotive Autosar and Bootloader engineer for the basic training. Very Helpful...!!

-This session is excellent. all details are in a nutshell. - Most of us wants to learn a lot on automotive secure components and its usage so this session to be extended for every component in details if not done in the next session. - can cover more on HSM

Lots of information in this course. I believe that Quiz 7 is out of place, it asks questions of Freshness Value but I did not remember having gone over that when the quiz was taken in Section 13, then in Section 16 it was discussed. For the Practice Test, I would have loved it if there was more helpful information in the hints for someone coming from outside of the knowledge of CAN Trace. The Practical Test Answer explanation gave a lot of helpful info that I would have loved to have figured out if I knew more about how to find the answers.

The content is really good w.r.t. the course time. But the teacher's pronunciation is very bad. Sometimes we will not understand the words she is saying and the subtitles are auto generated which gives wrong words. If these two problems are ignored then the course is really nice. Must do if someone is new to this subject.

Great information, excellent selection of knowledge pieces, big enrichment of standard clauses with really good explanation; if I could have one wish: try to improve pronounciation or maybe enforce yourself speaking a little slower (unfortunately the fast/slow function of Udemy player cannot "add" characters if they are melten with next ones). On a lot of tracks I had to use Udemy rewind function and listen a dozen times to understand some important words. Finally it worked - and it was worth. But if this would not be necessary your great course would be even a greater course ;-) Thank you very much vor sharing your knowledge here in this course.
