Course Description
While OTA opens the opportunity to remotely update firmware and software, it also opens the vehicle system to the Internet. The security challenges associated with any connected device arise, along automotive-specific safety and reliability concerns. Consider, as well, connection requirements and cost for OTA enablement. Given varying data rates, automakers must ensure that the connection to the vehicle is robust enough to transmit required updates while keeping costs low. In the face of widely varying bandwidth and signal strengths, the OTA solution must be capable of completing and verifying update downloads that have had to stop and start several times
In very few years OTA will raise as a mandatory element in Automotive and this course will be helpful understanding the overall view about Automotive OTA concepts.

This course gave one of the clearest end-to-end explanations of OTA updates I have come across. As someone with a background in automotive testing but new to the OTA domain specifically, I found the structure and pacing genuinely well thought out.

Very good provision of knowledge, good introduction in the UN ECE R156 and the accompanying standard ISO 24089 One detail that might be improved is the pronounciation of the speaker. Even at running very slow I could recognize several words and terms only after a number of repetitions and based on my own background knowledge. If you talk around 20% slower all the nuances will be there, that playback slower will provide everything to the listener. Above all: very good course - recommendation for everybody who is looking for a good overview and introduction to the topic.

The course is good, however there are a few observations. The speaker was incomprehensible in the beginning. But it got better as the course progressed. Could have avoided distracting visuals like rotating cars and constantly moving pictures in some of the slides. Also, there is a lot of talking in the beginning of slides without any information in them. We are left to stare at an empty slide while the speaker is throwing out information. This could have been avoided. Otherwise, the content was good.

The course was great and was very educational. I learned a lot of new technical terms as well as how the process works. I just wish that some things were explained to a beginner who knows little about how this works however I am sure that this course is dedicated to those with some background knowledge and the problem would be mine. Thank you.

The presenter sounds like reading a novel in the background. There has to be diagrams , images that communicate well his messages and ideas better than dry texts. This helps a lot since the english is not very clear. I still thank him for the effort made to produce such a content for this important topic.

Rich in information collection related to Over the Air. I enjoyed the sessions well since it is all properly animated and self explanatory. Trainer covered all the topics as in when it is required. Good attempt in getting insights about Automotive OTA. Recommended to beginners

I have been working in OTA (Embedded OTA Agent) for the last three years and wanted to brush up the theory. I really liked the SDV content....It is an information to me. Thanks, a Zillion for sharing this in a well-structured manner.

1. Extensive use of acrnoyms should be avoided, particularly if they haven't been explained in the training. For example in Section 12.44, she talks about TLS. But never mentions what it stands for. 2. Not sure who the target audience is. It goes into too much detail in some places and extremely superficial in others.
