Course Description

IBM Db2 is a family of related data management products,

including relational database servers, developed and marketed by IBM.

This course provides you the basic understanding of concepts of database, database installation and management. At the end of the course you should be equipped with some understanding of database management concepts.

In this course we will interact with the DB2 Server and run some SQL queries on the database. We will create a database and multiple tables and perform some data manipulation and CRUD operations on the database.

RDBMS stands for Relational Database Management System.

RDBMS is the basis for SQL, and for all modern database systems such as MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft Access.

The data in RDBMS is stored in database objects called tables. A table is a collection of related data entries and it consists of columns and rows.

Database skills are in high demand due to the volume, speed and complexity of data that is increasing daily. We interact with a variety of data in our daily lives from social media to banking and health.

El subtitulo no es muy bueno. En algunos casos se tradujo SQL como si hubiera dicho el profesor squirrel. Hubo otros errores en general en varios videos. La explicación esta bien pero la traducción tiene puntos de mejora.

I did this course as a refresher, rather than a full beginner, so I did not use the resources. Presenter was thorough in information and examples were clear and understandable. Whilst presenteer's speech was slower than I am used to, it was not boring or caused me to feel sleepy - if anything it was a good pace for the information presented - thanks

The course was too generic for me i was looking forward to seeing dba action since i need more information regarding db2 since i am already an oracle specialist. But this course is good if you need to learn about SQL or db structure.

This was a great high-level view of relational databases in general, and DB2 syntax in particular, as well as use of the IBM Data Studio Client. Easy to follow and I learned a lot!

The course was short and straight forward. Could have included more topics like joints and practice workbooks. It is a good refreshing and beginner course.

good for a basic introduction do DB2 and Relational databases. I would say it requires to be updated because in the lesson related to populate tables it was needed to perfomr some workarounds, sionce not all the data was uploaded correctly. apart of that details, the training deliver.

Very slow with repetition, not enough content, if the course said that user has to know SQL, why it still covered elementary concepts with such slow pace, I expected more content
