Decision-Making for Business (Udemy.com)

I have been looking for this type of course for a long time. I have already taken courses on decision-making, but they were all too basic and lacked real-world examples. I wanted a course that would take me beyond the basics and help me apply these principles to my own business. This course definitely did that. It took me through a variety of real-world business decisions and helped me understand how to apply my own decision-making skills to my business. I highly recommend it.

Great course for anyone in business who's willing to take a look at their decision-making process with a critical and constructive eye. The instructor is a great example of a successful entrepreneur who analyzes his own business actions and communication skills in a way that can be helpful to others. I've already taken his course on "Effective Communication" and now I'm taking his course on "Decision-Making". I'll review that one, too, when I'm done.

This course is really great! My company is moving into a business-to-business model and I think it is important to be able to make effective decisions with the information available to you. This course helps you to gain the skills needed to make good decisions. It is also a really good course for people who want to take their career in a new direction and need to learn how to make decisions.

First, the background music drove me crazy. I felt like I was trying to make a phone call but was on hold for over an hour. Very distracting and frankly annoying. I also don't know why this course has video of the instructor in a box. It was obvious he was reading off the screen. Usually, this is done to try and have the instructor make a connection with the online audience. Again, I found this more annoying than helpful. There really was no point in having this. Third, take a breath. I also didn't like how the instructor reviewed the answers to some of the practice exercises. When trying to match a list on the left to the right, it would be more helpful to go thru the list on the left and then show you which one on the right is valid than to show both columns and just go thru the right column. I found it confusing and hard to follow. Also the heading in the bottom left corner was too prominent. Several times that text overlapped and blocked text on the slide. Not my favorite class, don't know if I'd recommend it in the future, but took it to satisfy a company requirement.

The transcript does not match up as well as I had hoped. I had to relisten and guess on some of the words.

When I decided to subscribe to this course I was a little bit skeptical about it. The instructor is very clear about his words, even for me, a non english speaker didn't need to turn on the auto-caption. At the moment I'm finishing it and I'm confident, that it a great investment of time and money. The course is really eye-opening! I would recommend it both to arising and established leaders.

I really enjoyed this course. Unlike most writing courses I’ve come across, Sorin inspires you to write in a comprehensive and clear way so you can truly express what you’re trying to say. Both the high level and subtle tools he teaches have opened my eyes up to several methods I can utilize to analyze and improve my decision making. Most importantly, he has motivated me to dig deeper into writing. Looking forward to taking more courses from you Sorin. Thanks for this excellent course!

The content is good, but most of the examples are for an app based business which manages very differently from the rest of the other business types. Since I have previous experience in the topic, I can say that it highlights all the crucial points about writing a business plan in a clear and easy-to-understand way. What I really like is the special emphasis on do's and don'ts when writing a business plan and some typical mistakes that should be avoided.

The material seems interesting, but, the professor is reading content from somewhere (I can tell by the movement of his eyes). I have nothing against it, it is fine, but, I'd prefer to read it myself instead of taking a course, and, also, I'd prefer to have an instructor explaining things from their perspective instead of reading, even though the text being read may reflect their opinion. Anyways, hopefully it will change along the course.
