Course Description

Master Deep Tissue and Myofascial Massage Techniques Using a Whole-Body Approach

In this Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial Release course, Michael Eric Everson, Manual Osteopath, Registered Massage Therapist, and Yoga Teacher, teaches practical deep tissue massage techniques and myofascial release techniques using a whole-body approach.

Rather than treating the body as a collection of isolated muscles, you'll learn how to connect techniques together in a logical sequence and develop a more comprehensive approach to massage therapy and manual therapy.

This course is designed for massage therapists, bodyworkers, manual therapists, and other hands-on practitioners who want to expand their deep tissue massage and myofascial massage techniques.

In This Deep Tissue Massage Course, You Will Learn:

  • Advanced Myofascial Release Techniques

  • Practical Deep Tissue Massage Techniques

  • How to deliver a deep, focused, and effective massage treatment

  • How to connect individual myofascial techniques into a whole-body treatment approach

  • How to flow from one technique to another in a logical and methodical sequence

  • Techniques for working with common areas of musculoskeletal tension and restriction

  • How to integrate myofascial release and deep tissue massage into your existing practice

  • How to develop a more versatile massage therapy technique toolbox

Learn a Whole-Body Myofascial Approach

One of the central concepts in this course is learning to think about the body as an interconnected system.

Instead of simply focusing on one painful or tense area, you'll learn how to use a whole-body myofascial approach and connect different techniques throughout a treatment.

Michael demonstrates how to move from one technique to the next in an intelligent, methodical way, giving you a framework for creating more comprehensive deep tissue and myofascial massage sessions.

Develop Your Deep Tissue Massage Skills

Deep tissue massage requires more than simply applying greater pressure.

You'll learn how to use positioning, contact, pressure, pacing, and technique selection to create a focused hands-on treatment while developing a better understanding of how different techniques can be incorporated into a full massage session.

The goal is to help you develop effective deep tissue massage techniques that can be adapted to different clients and incorporated into your existing massage therapy practice.

Learn Advanced Myofascial Release Techniques

The course focuses heavily on myofascial release, including techniques designed to work with areas of tension and restriction throughout the body.

You'll learn how individual techniques can be combined into a larger treatment strategy rather than simply learning a collection of unrelated massage techniques.

This gives you a practical framework for incorporating myofascial massage and deep tissue therapy into your sessions.

Who Is This Deep Tissue & Myofascial Massage Course For?

This course is ideal for:

  • Massage therapists

  • Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs)

Build a More Versatile Massage Therapy Technique Toolbox

After more than a decade working in massage therapy and manual therapy, Michael has distilled these techniques into a clear, practical, technique-rich course designed to focus on the hands-on skills that can be applied in real-world practice.

You'll learn how to combine Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, and a whole-body treatment approach to expand your massage therapy skill set.

The course is suitable to my continual learning. Many techniques introduced in the videos are rather similar to my usual technique applied to my exisiting clients and I think if I applied the details as demonstrated by the trainer, I might get better results which will require some time and opportunities to realise in my current practice.

This is my second course from Micheal and I feel like he is very easy to follow. He gives practical information that I can understand. I also really appreciate in this course the revisiting of all he taught through a continuous massage. Very helpful!

I took this course and several others a while back and missed rating this one. Either way the Instructor is amazing and very easy to follow with the way he breaks it down as he demonstrates so you can mesh the visual with the instruction. He's great...keep him forever.

I loved this course and was able to get good results from the person I practiced. With the videos where you did massage with the person laying on your hand, I could not visualize the movement. So may you could demonstrate the hand movement in Side lying and then proceed to have the person rotate on to the arm to show the correct position. Thank you so.much Sir for your valuable information

Michael is not only a generous, professional and accurate teacher but an expert in myofascial release techniques and enjoyable to follow. The videos are well filmed showing all the techniques clearly. I have learnt more form this course than any other massage course I have done. Thank you for sharing your valuable skills.

I feel I'm getting knowledge without spending my time for listening too much talking around. Great course ,very specific, concrete and most important very useful, which I can take it to my practice and help people. Thank you Michael, I would like to learn from you more.

This is a very good and information packed course covering key areas of the body in detail. A great addition to my previous Myofacial Therapy training. I am pleased to be able to give even better therapy to my clients with this information. Douglas Ryan CMT/OHST - OC Massotherapy - San Clemente Ca.

I thought this course was great. Very easy to follow along, and I’m confident I can easily begin using this in my treatments. I had read a review before I chose this course, that this didn’t seem practical for spa use, but I disagree - I’ve had sessions like this myself, and it was all about the room I was in, and how my practitioner instructed me to move. I also feel like getting the client involved in the process helps them feel like they had an extra full session.

By Laura Decker on 8/25/2022

An excellent course- the teacher is very knowledgeable and explains things in an easy to understand manner. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because almost all of the techniques require the client to move and assist “have them bend their neck so their chin almost touches their chest”, “have them move their foot from plantar flexion to dorsiflexion”. I work in a spa and do deep tissue on the regular, but the guests that I have are looking to relax while their muscles are being worked. I wouldn’t be able to have them move their feet so they’re hanging off the end of the table or give them all of these directions. I was looking more for deep myofascial techniques to use while the guest is draped, not fully dressed, and that wouldn’t require making the guest work so hard. These techniques are great if you’re in a medical setting or do private sports massage- not a spa.

By Helen on 4/4/2022

The first clip about Ida Rolfe, to the second clip moving straight into doing shoulder work didn’t seem to flow, I thought I missed something. Other than that, the techniques in video look very good.
