Master Neuromuscular Massage Techniques for Deep Tissue Therapy, Muscle Tension & Soft Tissue Dysfunction

Learn practical Neuromuscular Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Medical Massage techniques with Michael Eric Everson, Manual Osteopath, Registered Massage Therapist, and Yoga Teacher.

This comprehensive Deep Tissue Neuromuscular Massage Course is designed for massage therapists, RMTs, manual therapists, bodyworkers, sports massage therapists, and massage therapy students who want to expand their hands-on assessment and treatment skills.

You’ll learn how to assess common neuromuscular and soft-tissue presentations and apply targeted massage techniques designed to address areas of muscular tension, tenderness, restriction, and dysfunction.

The course combines neuromuscular therapy and deep tissue massage with practical techniques including trigger point therapy, positional release, friction techniques, stretching, and myofascial release.

  • Common areas of muscle tension

  • Trigger points

  • Soft-tissue restrictions

  • Nerve-related and nerve irritation presentations

  • Common musculoskeletal dysfunctions

You’ll learn how to combine assessment, positioning, palpation, and hands-on massage techniques to create a more targeted treatment approach.

A Practical Approach to Neuromuscular Massage

Neuromuscular therapy is a targeted form of manual therapy that focuses on specific areas of muscular tension, tenderness, and soft-tissue dysfunction.

Rather than simply applying more pressure, this course focuses on precision, assessment, technique selection, positioning, and therapeutic application.

You’ll develop a broader manual therapy toolbox by learning how to combine deep tissue massage with trigger point work, positional release, stretching, friction techniques, and myofascial release.

An excellent course! Refreshing my foundational neuromuscular knowledge has been a fantastic way to sharpen my clinical reasoning and elevate the results I get on the table. Now that I better understand the 'why' behind tissue responses, my treatment plans are much more targeted and effective. Highly recommend!

I graduated National Holistic Institute's Neuromuscular Program a couple of years ago and found this to be a phenomenal refresher! This work is vastly complex, and yet, this course made it seem so simple. I walked away feeling more confident in my work and felt refreshed in my practice. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I've never really been a fan of online courses, but this course sounded interesting. I'm glad I took this course because I learned a ton of information that I didn't learn before. I feel equipped with new techniques and pathologies to explore.

This is a good course by Michael Everson. A good introduction into neuromuscular massage. Good information on muscle testing. If you have taken Michael Everson's Muscle Energy Technique course, this course is a good companion.

By Polly Harriman on 4/27/2024

It was a great fit. Trigger point is what I do, I learned a lot about application technique. Really informative. The instructor is easy to listen to, explains well and goes at a nice place. A little fast now and again but overall, 0 to 10, i'd give a a 9.

By Ashley Bo on 10/10/2023

This was very informative. The only recommendation I have is that the explanations could be a little more simplified with visuals for those that may be newer to massage therapy so that we can truly understand. But for those who have more experience, this is probably easier for them to understand. Either way, still a good and valuable course.

Yes, I can utilize the course material right away. I would appreciate seeing another course to only review specific stretching techniques such as: stretching the scalenes, upper, middle, lower traps, lat dorsi, the quads, hams, tfl's, QL's electors, scm's, sub occipitals, as well as other muscles mentioned in the course.

By Dawa Raphael Che on 8/9/2022

A little over half way through the course and finding it very useful and informative. I would highly recommend this course for those who already have a basic understanding of massage but are wanting to take their treatments to the next level.

By Mutsumi Cornett on 1/7/2022

The instructor was great and easy to listen to. I can tell he tried to be as thorough as he could in each lesson but I would've liked it better if he actually didn't skip some parts like "hold this for 60-90 sec" and then he won't show us demonstrate for that length of time. I also think it could've been better if he showed zoomed out versions to show body mechanics as well. But overall, amazing course and I'll be checking out other courses he has!

I've purchased 3 of your courses and have finished 2 of them. This course on NMT is a very clear, concise and engaging source of knowledge. It covers, laws of NMT, theory, assessments, practical applications and some insight into METs (Muscle Energy Techniques). Thank you so much for your courses, I can't wait to put the skills into practice. Have a Blessed Day
