Digital Painting Fundamentals in Photoshop (Udemy.com)

I would not expect for such easy course and almost teach me nothing, without any technical things. DO NOT BUY THIS!

What a great course. I'm only a quarter of the way through and have learned so much. The thought of what lies ahead is so exciting. I really enjoyed the layout, exercises and teaching style of the instructor and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore digital painting. Wish I could give a six star rating.

I've been working with photoshop in the last 15 years, just learnt 5 shortcuts I never had got round to finding!

Just the first two chapters: Rushing through the workspace so that even with some experience it is difficult to follow. And the explanation of pixel dimensions is so long winded and unnecessary complicated that it confuses more than helps.

Will try one other chapter and probably stop after that

It is step by step learning which is very important.

Not being too familiar with the menus in PS, I had trouble finding keyboard shortcuts settings. Finally changing that to ctrl+z is a good help and performance settings will be useful once I get into this.

Dont expect to find useful guidance in software technical stuff. In this course you will find very basic theorical content present in any kind of visual art

It was a fun class and I really enjoyed it!

This course has definitely changed the way I look at things now whether it is pictures, photoshop, or the world around me. When I’m out, I deliberately try to envision all that was covered in this course such as a vanishing point, directional arrows, and colors, primary, secondary, ahh). Leading the eye, was my personal favorite, not sure why, it just is. Perspectives was definitely a new learn for me, and again when I’m out and about, I look at different objects, such as an oncoming road or rows of trees and I try to envision the perspective, all three of them. Then I look to the light source, where it is and where may the hot spot lay, the shadows, etc. Compositions, moods, weather, all of which was covered. To sum it up, this was an excellent and well laid out course and has definitely taught me a lot of which will improve my photoshopping. The instructor was well organized and the production quality was perfect. Absolutely satisfied. Thank you so much. The only problem I had was with trying to email Paul Parnell (instructor) to the email he provided, a pic to criticize. It appears to be an incorrect email address. I tried to forward it twice but received the message of failure. If possible, somehow I would still like to forward my pic to him. So I will await and see if I get a response from this review. Sue

This course is more about "art theory" and drawing principles than about Photoshop techniques. Discovered this is what I need!

This is a very good course. The tutor is very professional. I would recommand editing the lectures so that they don't last almost half an hour for each lesson. Do we realy have to hear the tutor yawning in lecture 17. The viewers' time should be respected. That's the only thing that makes this course unprofessional.
