Wow, I was always puzzled about why my sounds sounded unappealing to my hears, now I have the weapon to correct it. I learned a lot, I am encourage to try harder.

If you are looking for info on how to design individual drums from scratch, how to mix drums, Get HUGE EDM drums, or Layer drums correctly this is NOT the course for you. However, If you want to learn cool techniques on how to make your drum programming more interesting and modern for many genres (pop, rock, hip-hop, trap, electronic, indie) this course is GOLD! I would have liked if they went into more detail on the drum layers and the approaches on how they mixed the drums as a whole (Individual and Drum Buss). Most of the examples have many drums layered together so if you don't know already layer them or how to mix them (or have the budget get them mixed by a pro) then you still will have trouble getting pro level results. This course is great for inspiring new creative ideas for your drums tracks and adding some modern production techniques to get your mind thinking on how to create your own individual drum style. Although beginners could get some benefit from it. I'd recommend this course as Intermediate. Not that the information is hard to understand for beginniners , but I would recommend you already know how to mix drums (compress EQ, Tranient shape) and layer drums before taking this course to get the full benefits as they don't cover it. This course was useful! Definitely helped inspire me on the approach of drums from a programming and arrangement perspective. Overall 4 out of 5 stars - This course is highly recommended!

I thought I would see how to program the drums, in a plugin like BFD(what I currently use), Battery, Ezdrummer, Superior Drummer, addictive drums, etc. And how to mix them, get different sounds, etc. So far, some good tips, but nothing in depth.

I really like this course, and these tips can help you take your drums from good to great, I would have liked however, to see more about actual ''programming''. And things like how to approach programming, reading and dividing the grid, note values, swing, etc...especially given that in the beginning of the course the tutor was suggesting the method of dragging samples directly on the grid. Many producers usually play their drums on a keyboard or drum pad have a hard time looking at the grid and imagining in advance where to place a snare or programing a fill without actually playing it in.

clear presentation/examples of interesting techniques. i like the short segments rather than 20 or 30 minute vids because i can grab some ideas quickly when i have a few minutes to spare. thanks! keep up the great tutorials.

This is a truly professional course with lots of fantastic creative tips and tricks; A whirlwind of drum production/ beat making knowledge that I found extremely useful. The only thing I thought was missing from the course (as a 'bible' of drum production) were lessons on how to go about synthesising drum samples from scratch. This is something I love doing but I can hardly find any truly useful information on. Regardless, I highly recommend this course!

Daniel (the instructor) is fun and interesting to listen to with a clear passion for the work he's showing. The information in the course was quick and easy to understand, with enough exciting techniques that I'm sure anyone taking this course, whether a beginner or a professional producer, will be able to learn something new and incredibly useful. Fantastic delivery, good lengths for each lecture and very engaging! I'm positive this course will help me make more great sounding productions. 5 Stars!

The instructor knows what he's talking about. All of the examples are professional. The volume of the persons being interviewed in the final two bonus videos was too low to hear properly. Otherwise, those extra lessons were great as well.

Dan and the Songwriting team create incredible music and I loved this look at how they leverage drum samples and great creative ingenuity to produce fresh and relevant drum tracks that sound amazingly high end. Very excited to use these techniques to take my drum tracks to the next level. Already tinkering with a few of the techniques on some current productions and I'm so pleased with how this course is helping take tracks I was already proud of and make them even better. I look forward to more courses from the songwriting team.

Lots of good information here. It will be a go-to resource for me. Daniel's presentation is clear and to the point. The course is presented in Logic X but the knowledge is easily transferable to other DAWS.
