Easy Anatomy and Physiology (Platinum Edition) (Udemy.com)

I was looking for an intro to anatomy and physiology. This course sits weirdly between beginner-friendly and totally overwhelming with latin/ medical terminology. It doesn't offer a basic intro to each system, but rather chops everything up into too hard to comprehend details without giving the big picture first. The narrator's voice is so monotonous, I keep zoning out. I'm also not a fan of these generic AI images. And one thing that I find just so super annoying is that at the end of EVERY. SINGLE. LECTURE (and there are 160) he says "We hope you have learned something about xyz and see you in the next course" LIKE this is so redundant and just plain annoying. And who is this mythical "we"? It's one guy's course. I usually don't give bad reviews. But I am starting to be more honest in my reviews after repeatedly feeling like I wasted my money. I tried to get a refund after watching 4 (!!!) Sections out of 22 and was told by the UDEMY AI that I had watched too much to get a refund. So yeah, frustrating.

Very detailed info using latest technology to see things visually with full detailed notes are really making me learn the body parts and its function in details in an attractive way. I am glad that I signed for it. Thank you.

Love your accent which is almost none but definitely American English. There are so many Eastern-Indian speaking moderators or AI (Artificial Intelligence), it is nice to hear a real human speaking "to me" in an accent that I understand. I notice you even added the word Inguinal which was not on the diagram I was watching while you spoke, but it was in conjunction with another term like Iliac and I've had an Inguinal Hernia Repair, so I recognized the term when you said it, but it was fun to notice that you went slightly off script (not on diagram but you spoke it), because you're human and it was more descriptive than leaving Inguinal out of your description . . . listening to machines is very annoying and noticeable (they never go off script and are very robotic, having the same 3 or 4 movements repeated HUNDREDS of times within 5 minutes, and AI videos speak in monotone - never varying their tone to show emotion). They might think that they have it all figured out and that the AI voice is just as good as a real person for producing videos, but it's not! However, when it comes to a choice of a.) hearing an Eastern Indian person speak who I can barely understand or b.) hearing an AI monotonous voice, I'll choose the AI boring voice. One Udemy course that I saw recently where the Indian man used an AI voice to communicate what he wanted to say, caused me to be relieved because hearing a non-native speaker would have been infinitely more difficult than his using an AI voice. I wanted to learn the topic which others were not covering and which I wanted to learn, but I don't believe I would have been successful or able to understand all the lecture of the Eastern-Indian-born man, if he hadn't used an AI voice for the entire lecture. So my Ultimate Preference is someone like you, Dr. Bruce (a person who speaks American English like a person born in the U.S.A. and is not robotic like an AI generated video). Thank you for taking the time to record your actual voice to produce this video. It helps me to stay interested in the content. And since I am able to stay alert and not lulled to sleep by a monotonous AI voice, I have been successful in learning the concepts in your Easy Anatomy and Physiology course. Thank you, Tammy!

I have learnt a lot about anatomy and physiology and how human body system was created. God is a greatest scientist truly. It is a very helpful study for my preparation for a nursing course. I just want to say I like how Dr. Bruce present the materials. It made the materials easy to understand, fun and interesting and it is even better that the course include so many resources to study and practice. I really appreciate the dedication, passion and work Dr. Bruce put into this course. Thank you so much for helping me learning anatomy effectively without being so stressed.

The course is probably most suitable for medical students and other professionals. For a lay person, it is way too loaded with specific terms and small details, and the quizes seem to mostly check one's ability to memorize long Latin names. It's not exactly bad, just not what I was looking for, but that might be my own fault. It is possible to extract useful common knowledge, but all the small details are overwhelming.

I would have liked to have access to download the slides from the videos. I had to stop and make many drawings to fully understand all the information presented. That was very helpful for someone that is more visual like myself. I also found that most of the quiz questions where from the videos, so take good notes!

This course really dummify for dummies. Extremely easy to understand and breaks it down into section with as much examples

A lot of clear diagrams and listing of names so far. Not very exciting, but I suppose that's what the anatomy part of this Anatomy and Physiology course is about. Good so far :)
