Ken Schultz
Ken is the creator of the EasyDSLR Digital Photography Course. Ken setup a blog on digital photography in December 2010 and helped hundreds of new DSLR buyers with an eBook, "Digital SLR Buyer's Guide." After many questions from new DSLR buyers, Ken realized that a Basic DSLR course was needed to fill the gaps in photography knowledge required to get great photos with a DSLR. After 8 months of production, EasyDSLR was launched (September 2011).
His courses condense 30 years of Ken's photojournalism and his in-the-field experience capturing images of international travel, ocean life through his career as a marine biologist and as a professional wedding photographer into a layman's course for photography newcomers. It's not for Professionals but rather for those with minimal background in photography or those making the transition from film SLR cameras to Digital SLR cameras and Mirrorless cameras.
Ken's "in the trenches" background gives him a unique perspective enabling him to explain photographic principles in simple terms. Photography is an Art as well as being technical. Ken's talent is being able to educate and inspire without overloading the viewer with too much technical jargon.

I was impressed by Ken's Basic DSLR course and doubly so by this Advanced DSLR course. He has a calm delivery that stays focused on the point he is trying to make. There was plenty of detail and content to make this a worthwhile experience.

I thought the course was basic at time and would have liked more advanced level lessons. I think the instructor does an excellent job in explaining the various concepts. I would recommend this course to someone between basic and intermediate.

Every time I click on a section I learn so much. I want to thank Ken Schultz for a great course. I was not aware of the video portion and how I could make my videos better. This was one of the best courses that I have done. I learned things that I have put into practice as I was taking it. What I have learned here will only make me better. Again thanks Ken for such a great course.

Good information given, just a little out dated especially the Photoshop that was being used. However the instructor is pretty cool and makes sure you have the basis for better photography.

Enjoyed the course good information. I now use Lightroom CC for my HDR images, might want to include that in future updates to the course. Take this course after the beginners course and you will the information to take and edit good images.

Overall a nice collection of different aspects of photography. Good blend of technical versus technique. Can be a little slow and repetitive at times (even at 2X). Knowledge on the subject and definitely things to learn. Software specific techniques only somewhat applicable if you are using different software.

Excellent second course. If you are interested in the genres shown in the course outline, I highly recommend this course as a follow up to the beginner course. Ken Schultz presents the material in an easy to understand manner that is well organized.

If you have taken the first EasyDSLR course, this 2nd or advanced course is the next logical step. Ken is a great instructor and continues to present the information in small easy to follow steps. He is easy to listen too and offers some very useful information. Well worth your time.

Truthfully this was never advanced anything. Everything was just basic information. More a free youtube basics for someone interested in getting into photography and owning a camera...

Although there is a wealth of information on the internet this course cuts hours if not days of searching and picking good information. In addition you get a sort of hands on by seeing how ken does things on the spot (like an over the shoulders view).
