Our take
Based on the ratings of 660 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in September 2025. No course pays to be reviewed.
Vapa Academy's bootcamp is a Figma course built around copying along. After a tool tour and a prototyping block, it walks through eight app projects: a Spotify-style web app, a food ordering app, an Uber-style ride sharing app, a shoe shop, a chat app, a music player, an e-commerce site and a Netflix clone. It runs 63.5 hours across 536 lectures, and the projects take up most of that. About 27,600 students have enrolled. The title promises ten projects, but the syllabus lists eight.
Most reviewers like it. The 4.2 rating rests on 330 five-star and 200 four-star ratings out of 660 reviews. Students call the lessons clear, easy to follow and good for starting from zero. The complaints are consistent, though. Some find the narration hard to follow because of the instructor's English and pace, and a few are worn down by the constant 'basically'. One reviewer says videos hang or cut off. Another could not activate the Figma student plan and got stuck. The sharpest critic says it teaches copying, not design thinking.
The last update was in September 2025, and reviewers say the Figma education-plan steps are already out of date. Still, it is a lot of material for the money, and a couple of reviewers call it good value. It suits people who want hands-on repetition and a stack of finished screens. If you want to learn why designers make their choices, or need case-study material for a portfolio, pair it with something on UX fundamentals. As practice in Figma mechanics and prototyping, it does the job.
Pros
- Eight full app builds, including Uber, Spotify and Netflix clones, give a lot of repetition
- Separate basic, mid and advanced prototyping sections, roughly 170 minutes in total
- Reviewers find the lessons clear and easy to follow when starting from zero
- 63.5 hours of material for a low price, which some reviewers call great value
Cons
- Mostly copy-along, with little on design principles or UX workflow, per the harshest reviewers
- Some find the instructor's English and pace hard to follow, and 'basically' is overused
- Figma education plan access and a few hanging or cut-off videos frustrated some students
I especially liked how the instructor walks through real design prototypes and projects step-by-step, making it easy to understand both the theory and how to apply it in Figma.
Listed for all levels with no prerequisites. It fits true beginners best, and less so anyone wanting design theory.

You want to learn UI/UX Design and build your first portfolio project? Well, don't buy this course, because it's completely USELESS for that. The only thing you're going to learn is how to copy stuff mindlessly without even a bit of understanding of what you're actually doing. Learning design principals? Elements hierarchy? Actual UI/UX workflow or even some basic terms? NONE OF THAT is covered here. I've finished the Figma learning part (which is fine) and started the first project (and almost finished it), and I've learned NOTHING so far except for "Just copy whatever is on the screen and be done with it". Seriously, one conversation with Chat GPT gave me more knowledge and understanding of HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS than this course. So if you want a portfolio you won't even understand, than will be generic and will show none of your actual creative skills - sure, go ahead. But if you want something that will make people actually HIRE you - skip this course and ask Chat GPT about UI/UX, or find an actual teacher, it'll be 100% more useful. P.S.: and the videos here have problem with aspect ratio: the squares look like rectangles, and circles look like ellipses, so I had to redo everything, thank you very much.

This UI/UX Design course with Figma has been a great learning experience so far. The lessons are clear, well-structured, and very practical. I especially liked how the instructor walks through real design prototypes and projects step-by-step, making it easy to understand both the theory and how to apply it in Figma. The course covers everything from design basics to creating wireframes and prototypes, which really helped me build confidence. It’s perfect for beginners and also valuable for anyone looking to sharpen their UI/UX skills. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to get started with UI/UX design using Figma!

This course has been extremely beneficial and rewarding. Over the span of 63.5 hours, I learned a tremendous amount. It took a lot of time and effort to complete, but this is only a quarter of the entire course. You can clearly see the hard work and expertise that has gone into creating this program. As for the price, it's incredibly affordable compared to the value of the knowledge you're gaining. Courses of this quality usually cost much more elsewhere. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Some words of the instructor like "basically" is overused and it's quite annoying to the point that it messes up my focus to the course. Edit: From 3 stars to 1.5 star. Instructor said "All videos are updated. Thanks". Nothing changes to the videos lol.

This course exceeded my expectations! The structure is clear and progressive, starting from the fundamentals of UI/UX design to advanced prototyping techniques in Figma. I especially appreciated the real-world projects and the focus on interactive components, which helped me sharpen both my technical and creative skills. The course may take long time to complete, but I highly recommended it for anyone serious about mastering Figma design workflows.

This course is a goldmine for anyone serious about UI/UX design. It covers industry-standard practices, advanced prototyping, and all the essential tools in depth. The instructors are highly skilled and explain complex topics clearly. I especially appreciated the large-scale, real-world projects for both mobile and web apps—they’re practical and portfolio-ready. Highly recommended!

It was quite amazing how they thought us, and how easy to learn. I would prefer this course to anyone who wants to learn Figma. Either your from design Background or not, this course doesn't bore u with each tool and stuff (but they don't specify the tools too, you'll learn through the process). Have Fun learning!!!

This is by far one of the best Figma courses I've taken. The prototypes are at an advanced level, featuring smooth animations and several real-world mobile and web app UI/UX projects. The instructor explains everything in great detail, making complex concepts easy to understand. Highly recommend for anyone looking to level up their Figma skills!

This course is a complete package for learning UI/UX design the industry-standard way. It takes you from beginner to advanced with clear, structured lessons and real-world projects like an e-commerce website, a ride-sharing mobile app, a music player app, and more. You'll also learn how to build designs following professional Figma workflows, including style guides, system design, and advanced prototyping. Everything is explained in a way that’s easy to follow — perfect for anyone looking to level up their design skills!
By Julkar Khan on 4/6/2025
Anyone who is serious about becoming an expert in Figma UI/UX design should take this course. Real-world mobile and web app projects that adhere to industry-standard structure are covered, along with everything from the basics to sophisticated approaches. Every project offers a clear style guide, a well-structured design system, and instruction on how to properly arrange files, much like in actual design teams. Compared to many other courses, the advanced prototyping component is among the best, making the information genuinely applicable and significant. Perfect for everyone who wants to use Figma correctly and develop a portfolio that is suitable for a job!
