Our take
Based on the ratings of 26,705 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is an architecture course, not a coding bootcamp. Mehmet Ozkaya, a solutions architect, walks through how LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning and vector databases fit together inside a business app. Everything hangs on one EShop Support app. It runs 89 lectures and about 7.3 hours, and the syllabus shows it starts from what generative AI is before moving on to design decisions. It assumes only basic software development knowledge.
Reviewers say the explanations are easy to follow and the EShop example keeps abstract ideas grounded. One mentions the quizzes and the clear structure, and another says it explained what happens behind a simple AI question. The complaints are consistent, though. The hands-on part is thin: the syllabus shows two short .NET sections, roughly an hour in total, and no coding exercises. A Java developer wanted Java, and a telecom worker found the e-commerce focus irrelevant. One experienced viewer called it old stuff.
The numbers are solid: 4.5 stars across 26,705 ratings, with most of those at four or five stars, and the content was refreshed in August 2026. That matters in a field where tools age fast. It's a good first pass for a developer or architect who needs the vocabulary and the design trade-offs before building anything. Anyone who already ships LLM features, or who wants to write code for most of the course, should look for something more practical.
Pros
- Explanations that reviewers call easy to follow, even for newcomers to AI
- One EShop Support app ties prompting, RAG and fine-tuning together
- Quizzes between sections help check that the ideas stuck
- Updated August 2026, with a wide tour of models and vector databases
Cons
- Only about an hour of .NET coding and no coding exercises at all
- The EShop examples feel narrow to people from other fields
- Some material is basic or unused, so experienced AI developers may find it old news
This is an excellent course to understand all the nitty gritty that happens in the background when you just ask AI a question.
Fits developers with basic software knowledge. Experienced LLM builders will find it light.

This is an excellent course to understand all the nitty gritty that happens in the background when you just ask AI a question. If you have technical knowledge of coding and understand the architecture of enterprise applications, you can easily get everything that's explained in this course. I only knew to write a good prompt, but after going through this course I can really talk in terms of AI architecture and a good foundation to integrate your existing applications to reap the benefits of AI.

I expected it to be more generic to whatever background I am but it mainly focussed on E-shop customer service. I am from a telecom background and E-shop customer service part was not at all required for me. Rather if there were other examples like some IT(information technology) related services, it would have been helpful. Overall, I gained a theoretical knowlegde abot LLMs, RAG and Vector DB but hands-on was not at all applicable for me. It would have been better if I got some hands-on experience.

I went from having a vague idea of the Infrastructure and services that support AI Technology to being very confident of each key component. The course instructor - Mehmet is very knowledgeable and highly recommend completing this course.

Yes, the content is good and relevant. Thank you!! However, I like to add that the content needs to be kept up to date as the AI landscape is changing fast. For e.g. the github models mentioned in the course are no longer available from github. Also it would be helpful if the example application creation code is provided in node and java for non .net developers.
By RAMSAINATH SRINIVASAN on 8/14/2026
The tutor is extremely knowledge. I may not able to find these kind of information in common search like google or any other forums. Concepts like writing .NET code to interact with LLM and writing .NET code to implement RAG is extraordinary. Tutor took almost every LLM available in the market and showed its comparison and usefulness and pros and cons which i never find in common place like google. Every section was complete mastery of subject. I am happy that i attend this course and would like to retake several times to know nuances of all details.

The course starts slowly and up to some point I believed it was of little value for me, but as it continued, the concepts became more and more deep, and the presentation grows in value. It's like a good movie where the main and most valuable twist is in the end) I believe it was useful and gave understanding of many topics that can be used in real life.
By Gurpreet Grewal on 7/6/2026
This course gives a solid foundation to anyone who is beginning their AI journey. This course gives a high level overview of what prompts are, what RAG is, what is fine tuning of AI models etc. Solid A to the course. Only small issue i have with the course is that the few code examples that it has are in .NET whereas i would have expected the examples to be in python (But if someone is proficient in .NET than they should have no trouble understanding them). Also Role playing is a big plus for this course.
By MOHITH P S on 7/3/2026
It is really good course to understand AI models. It would be more helpful if this course or separate course to teach us hands on experience to create our AI, along with teachings on the course. Like interactive or supportive coding course.
By Anonymized User on 6/1/2026
I really liked the role-play approach used in the assessments. The content was comprehensive and covered the topics well. At times, I found the accent a little difficult to follow, but it was manageable overall. One additional enhancement could be the inclusion of a project section that demonstrates end-to-end development in a language-agnostic manner, allowing learners to focus on the concepts and workflow rather than a specific programming language.
By Vishal Saxena on 5/27/2026
Short and clear explanation of RAG-backed AI services, including their use cases and alternatives. The concepts were easy to follow, and I really enjoyed the overall learning journey throughout the course.
