Explained every concept and command line in detail. The execises from the resource section are extremely usefull as well because with that you can have everything written with you whenever you need them. They also are great help for practicing. Overall, a great course for the begginers, especially the technical writers who wants to learn these modern concepts and incorporate in their portfolio.

Author needs to update the course to match the current Github tools. Need more context for WHY we need to do the various commands, explain differences between forking, branching, cloning, etc. A few points were glossed over; we are BEGINNERS, don't assume we know anything about this. Explain every term and concept.

The course is perfect if you want to get a general insight into GitHub as a writer. The lessons are easy to understand, but the course is a little outdated and doesn't reflect the UI changes in GitHub. It also mentions Editor tools that aren't available any longer. Other than that, I can highly recommend this course.

Brief but comprehensive course that helped me to learn the basics and proceed with project tasks. The explanation is clear and structured. The exercise files contain clear instructions on how to perform certain steps and can be used as a reference in the future. Thank you, Peter, for such a great course! You are a good teacher and content developer.

This was a solid overview of the essential functions needed to write documentation in Git/GitHub. This course was perfect for someone who is tech-savvy enough to not be intimidated by the command line. As always, Peter Gruenbaum does an amazing job simplifying complex ideas so that they are useful and deployable in a tech writing environment. Thank you!

O curso é incrível e muito bem explicativo. Além de aprender sobre Git e GitHub para documentar, a gente acaba compreendendo melhor esse mundo dos desenvolvedores, que falavam esses termos de comandos que não fazia ideia do que se tratava. Apesar de não ter conseguido legendas em português, consegui me virar. O instrutor sabe explicar muito bem e as demonstrações na prática ajudavam muito a compreender melhor.

I highly recommend this course to those who are struggling to differentiate between Git and GitHub and also don't know how to work with them. I have never finished any online courses regarding Git and GitHub as it was too complicated. However, this course clearly gives us the chance to learn the theory and put them into practice in a very clear and understandable way. For some writers, it is really hard to use them in their work so if you are one of them, this is your course.

This course really helped me understand how to use Git and GitHub at my new job. I was lucky enough to know some of what was being taught. However, understanding WHY I was doing what I was doing makes my work life so much easier. Peter does an excellent job explaining the basics so that I can understand them. His pacing is very good, too. And he never makes leaps in his explanations and I never got lost.

Unquestionably, a must take course for Technical Writers. The authors speak about all the necessary, and additional concepts on Git and GitHub which provides a great understanding of Git concepts for writers who are new. The author also explains the uses of the Docs-like-code concept, which had helped me to improve my understanding of using Git and other similar tools for documentation.

Excellent course! I like having the theory and term meanings explained clearly at the beginning. Starts with basics, and then builds on them so you understand as it gets more complex. My only caveat is that the GitHub interface has recently been updated, so a few of the screenshots and procedures need corresponding updates. The commands are still easy to find, so not a big issue. A well-done course and well worth taking.
