Course Description
This course covers microservice fundamentals and advanced topics with a hands-on demonstration of how to implement microservices using real-world examples. Learn how to design and build a microservice software architecture in Python.
You will learn to make your applications more reliable and fault-tolerant using microservices with Python, no matter how complex the business logic. This course demonstrates how to design and build an application using a series of microservices. The application in question is an order management system, which we will split up into individual services. In a hands-on manner, you will learn topics such as data modeling, data storage, writing API requests, and you will learn to secure, monitor, and scale your microservices.
Finally, you will learn to use Docker's containerization technology to isolate, manage, monitor, and deploy microservices in Docker containers.
In this course, you'll learn to make your applications more reliable and fault-tolerant using microservices with Python, no matter how complex the business logic. In a hands-on manner, you'll learn topics such as data modeling, data storage, and writing API requests and learn to secure, monitor, and scale your microservices.

The instructor just goes quickly from the code, like reading slides. Does not provide much explanation on what is happening and the given code does not work. There are dependencies that no longer exist or do not work, deployment does not work either. I watched the whole course, learned something but after all you will be basically at the same point as in the beginning. Better just watch some youtube videos, it's for free and won't be worst.

Very informative course. Maybe a bit to beginner level during some of the sections, but everything was explained very clearly. I liked the whole process of a "real life" situation for the micro services. Would have preferred a more live coding session kind of style for the entire course instead of explaining the code line by line, but that's probably just personal preference. Great course to get some beginner knowledge on the subject!

Excellent course on micro services concept using Flask, with small exceptions, the implementation is only SQL based (still using ORM) I rather have this in Graphql to avoid auto generated ORMs (night mare when the data model is complex). The 2nd thing is there is no security between micro services. A gateway or bridge to go between microservices would be great !. I love this course. Thanks

You should have experience with Flask as a prerequisite and either provide users with instructions on how to load Flask and Docker or include it in the court videos. Luckily I already had them installed and configured and have some experience with Flask.

When I read "Hands On" I was expecting create the services and everything from scratch, I was not expecting deal with a bunch of already created code where I supposed to change just a few things to have the things done ... It was some sort of frustrating for me.

I've been pretty skeptical initially about even ability to deliver very basic things in 3 hours and my feeling was just right, no coverage on a single topic here.... I even didn't finish it, this is a first time when I request my money back, there are a lot of different courses where you can spend your money better, they are not alway supposed to be longer than 3 hours but instead should cover well and deep at least a few things

a pretty great course. It teaches the fundamentals behind microservices as well as ci/cd pipelines

Good course, nicely paced, rich and complex application example. I liked that the course was not about coding the microservices but more about architecture, design, use-cases, etc. I also really like that the deployment was docker based. Instructor was very clear and concise but also comprehensive.

The basic concepts and the architecture are explained well, however there were important pieces of information missing for applying the learned material in production e.g.: implementing OAuth, using Nginx as the built-in Flask servier is not recommended for production, using at least one monitoring tool of the ones mentioned briefly, why use "API keys" instead of user id... I understand that this is a basic course and the code are not production-ready, but I have the feeling that sharing these information would take only some lessons more and would greatly improve the course. Yes, it is a good course, but I need more information to go and create my own microservice architecture that can be used in production.

Kurs interesujący. W skrócie przedstawia ideę mikroserwisów oraz prezentuje zalety, wady i potencjalne zagrożenia. Jest nawet przykład uzycia! :O
