I think it is great. The use of chords and their types. But the music production part was short. It is quite clear that the master is in control of everything and gives very good information. Thank you for this course

Excellent course to learn the harmony basics... Wish they had updated the content for this course here on Udemy that is available on PML store... Now I have to buy the same course from PML store paying more for just one yet important updated chapter...

New to composition and music theory. Have gone through several Udemy courses relating to music theory, some have been been far more theory heavy than this course and been very useful and well worth it. However this course more than any other has bought it all together for me when it comes to actually understanding whats going on with chords, how to use build then ,how to use them, what my options are. It's a really good relatively short guide to what kinds of chords are at your disposal, what makes them which kind of chords, how they can be put together. Showing how the chords function with the DAW (ableton) really helped me solidify my understanding of why "the 3rd holds the power" and some other frameworks that just make things click. I would also say its one the best courses I have used when it comes to practical application. If you want to be able to actually just compose something and have it "work" then this will likely do the trick. Have come out with a much better understanding of what makes a chord major, minor, diminished, add, sus, 7th, 9th, 13th, added tone, why power chords are useful, an overview of how to keep progressions interesting, which common chord progressions are often used in which genres for a reasonable range of genres etc.

I walked in with limited knowledge regarding chords I am only part way though the course and I have already picked up lots of very useful information. A lot of ahaa moments so far, things are starting to fall into place, after reading and watching oh so many other presentations, this one has opened my eyes. The presentation is at a very comfortable pace and the instructor does not assume you know how to do the little things, all explained very well.

Great course!!! lots of good information, very practical in detail lessons for building chords, after this course you can come up with your own very unique chord progression, and some cool extra lessons with melody as well, which gives you proper idea how chords work with melody, highly recommended this course.

Excellent course if you want to learn how to write EDM. Well organized PDF for understanding music notes and chord progressions explanations are clear, I recommend for any beginners looking to advance their music writing skills in electronic music.

As i studied classical music harmony i can understand everything here and i learnt what i wanted. But for a newbie i think this is impossible to learn and master without some classic harmony . But hey maybe that's just me who came from another type of learning . The course it's amazing, it's what you imagine, just expect it to be a little bit hard if you are new to harmony :D

This is an excellent course, exactly what I need to take my music from 'ehh' to 'poppin'. My chord progressions only briefly excited me, but now, with what I have learned thus far, has taken my progressions to a whole new level. The course is taught with clear expression. Perfect for music composers. Francois and Tom are great! Excellent work guys. Looking forward to more courses from you guys. Thank you - Sam G..

This is a great course, exactly what I was looking for. The other DAW theory tutorials I have seen are over simplistic. While the those based on Notation programmes where too advanced and used classical music throughout. This is perfect. Five stars from me. Well done Tom and Francois!
