Course Description
Herbalism for Beginners
Have you ever wanted to experience the joy of making herbal remedies or to take charge of your health in a more natural way? Have you ever wanted the ability to help your friends and family in times of crisis if the need arose? If so, Herbalism for Beginners is for you.
Herbalism for Beginners is a comprehensive introduction to western herbalism. You will learn a broad mix of fun and interesting topics. Complex subjects are broken down in an easy-to-understand way that you will be able to apply to making your own custom herbal remedies.
The goal of this course is to empower you with the knowledge of over 65 medicinal herbs in order to create custom herbal remedies for your own health needs. In addition, Herbalism for Beginners covers 50 different health conditions and teaches you which herbs are useful in each case.
Why is it so crucial to return to herbalism now?
We need to return to a more sustainable healthcare model, one that includes herbal medicine. This is especially important now in our globalized economy as international conflicts endanger trade with the world’s largest supplier of pharmaceutical ingredients. With our fragile just-in-time supply-chain, herbalism has never been so vital.

Super informative and fast paced, im learning a lot and quickly. the ratio part has been brilliant for me. Im now half way through and being kept on my toes, the quiz at the end of each section is a great way to see if the information has sunk in properly...

Great Class, But to much information for a 1st class in this field. I would have started with a 101 approach then expanded to a fully secondary class. Over all I loved this class. Just to much information for a beginner class. I felt totally overwhelmed.

It is a great starting point for Western Herbalism! I really enjoyed the Anatomy review, the Botany and Phytochemistry especially. However, I think cover some other ways to make herbal medicine, like teas and decorations, salves etc in the preparation parts (not just tinctures). The Matera Medica portion was pretty long. Perhaps pick the top 10? most commonly used/found herbs as the rest can be part of the extra resource download. Also, would be good at the end to have a few case studies and apply all this knowledge to practical scenarios. Overall, it was a great course. Thank you so much!

Great course. It explains some of the history behind herbalism and explains concepts that others courses don´t like how to correctly calculate to formulate. The only reason I don´t give 5 stars it is because it only focuses on tinctures and doesn´t talk about others forms of herbalism like salves, poultices, etc

Just completed the course. Congratulation to myself ))) I always wanted learn more about healing herbs from a practicing professional and I got it now. Thank you! The course ( by my opinion) is not for very beginners who know nothing about medical herbs, but for the person who has a basic knowledge about the subject. Highly recommend the course.

Thank you David for a fabulous course. I learned a lot and will be doing a bit more research on the basis of your lectures. You explained everything in a clear concise manner and I understood everything. Your resources were also amazing. Thanks for all your hard work and great information. I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to learn about the basics of herbalism. This should be a bestseller.

He races through material, pack way too much information for a person to absorb in a 2-3 minute video then throws in a quiz asking specific questions when he just covered the entire body and raced through 3 things to treat a host of ailments. Watched each segment several times over and he talks to fast to even take notes!! Dissatisfied is an understatement.

This class was definitely a full class experience. Do not be fooled by the shortness of the lessons. It sometimes takes a few pass through to take note on both the power point and his lecture. I wish that his spoken lectures could have been printed at the bottom of the screen for those of us that are hard of hearing other than that it would have been 5/5.

After I finished the course I find myself consulting the specific information for some herb medicine to see if I can lose my pharma medicine. (I found out I have to see what is in my pharma meds and consult my doctor about maybe stopping the pharma medicine I use currently.) I love herbalism and naturopathy.
