Course Description

Learning a new language is much different than improving one you already know. The brain is forced to access information much differently, and this can quickly overload our traditional memory. This course aims to overcome this challenge, by introducing a new form of memorization for language learning.

Master Foreign Languages Quickly Using the Magnetic Memory Method

  •      Memory Palaces optimized for rapidly learning and retaining vocabulary

  •      Principles of Location, Alphabetization, Imagination, and Action

  •      Storing, Recalling, and Testing Memorized Foreign Vocabulary and Alphabets

Master Foreign Language Vocabulary by Using Simple Memory Techniques

There are many benefits to knowing one or more foreign languages. You can become a more valuable worker in a variety of industries, especially since the modern world operates within a global economy. You can also travel to different parts of the world with ease if you know several languages, as these skills will allow you to communicate easily.

But mastering a completely different vocabulary than your native language can be time-consuming and difficult. That's why there are programs available to teach you how to train your mind to grasp new words and understand how to communicate in other languages. The Magnetic Memory Method, created by Dr. Anthony Metivier, makes learning a new language fun by using mnemonics, Memory Palaces, and other techniques for memorizing vocabulary.

Contents and Overview

This course is designed for anyone, regardless of experience level, who wishes to improve their memory and learn a new language at the same time.

In this course, you will learn the Magnetic Memory Method, and you'll understand what a Memory Palace Network is and how to build one.

You'll then learn, using the principle of word division, how to populate your Memory Palaces with the vocabulary of any foreign language you wish to master.

And, finally, you'll learn how to test your recall of these words, using Excel to store your vocabulary and quiz yourself.

By the end of this course, you'll have valuable skills that will help you quickly memorize and use a foreign alphabet, regardless of how good your memory is when you start. You'll know how to memorize the vocabulary of more than one language at once, and how to memorize the correct spelling of these new words.

You'll also receive bonus material that reinforces the concepts you've learned and give you new tricks to improve your memory. With these lessons, you'll find that you're able to read, speak, and write in a foreign language in a short period of time.

I've finished watching through the videos, but have yet to complete all the exercises. I have them all written down so I can work on them and review the relevant videos when I get to them. I started applying some of the basics to my Spanish and German flashcards to create better imagery, though I am only placing Spanish words into my memory palaces right now since that's my main target language. Still, it has really helped me retain vocabulary a lot better. Even when I dropped the ball and stopped studying my flashcards for a while, I was still able to recall most of the vocabulary in them when I came back. One of the things I found really helpful was creating a memory wheel for the alphabet (based on a clock face) which created an anchor for my memory palaces and increased my ability to remember which place I had selected for each letter. It also helps me a little with my insomnia. Going around my clock forwards and backwards is a little meditative. And another unexpected benefit is I'm much quicker at shelving books at my library now. There are some letters that I don't immediately know where in the alphabet they go without going through the whole alphabet or part of the alphabet to find its location. However, I can find it on my alphabet clock much faster and then just ask myself "who is this letter's friend?" because each station on the clock face has two letters except the top (ABC) and bottom (NOP). Anyway it's very helpful.

Dr. Metivier is very thorough - but his presentation is often confusing and his voice is often very weak - so much so that I had to turn the volume al the way up on the video, the computer and also the playback stereo. THEN- the next video it jumps of LOUDER so you have to turn everything DOWN again. Often times his screenshots are out of focus and blurry. Aggravating. A lot of really informative content but this guy needs to stop sounding like he just crawled out of bed. His you tube FREE videos are much more vibrant.

This was my first online course which I have ever followed in front of a computer. I have being suffering from my bad memory for about decades of time and really had enthusiasm to improve my memory. I have read about Anthony and his approach to the remembering things is really fascinated. So I decided to buy this course at Udemy and it was one of my best decisions in my life. It was totally worth. Anthony explains in the course by step by step how to create memory palaces and encoding information to them to remember. Then decoding them with ease and guide how they can be put into the long term memory. I can still remember how I memorized Greek alphabet within 4 or 5 minutes (Actually I fast forwarded the video as I had gotten enough familiarity with principal of imagery and location) If you want to learn and memorize vocabulary, definitely you goanna love this course. Otherwise if you feel that you have a bad memory and have a need to improve it, you goanna love it too. My advice is engage with the course actively. Take your time. No need in a hurry. Practice what exactly Anthony is saying; if you need any clarification ask him without any doubt. Finally I must thank Anthony for this valuable and loving course.

This is in no way a bad course. I learnt a lot from it and the instructor his very knowledgeable about his subject. I can't give it a higher mark because it's simply too long and unpolished. This feels like a series of YouTube videos the author group together into a course. And, before I go on, I'll add that I see nothing wrong with this either. My concern is that they haven't been edited in the move. They are a string of subject matter related videos that tend to repeat themselves with a few examples in between. This course has over 60 videos and the point of it could probably have been made in 10 with a little bit of filtering and refining.

I cannot graduate this course, it says I have 77 of 79 items completed, 98 percent, but it will not let me finish, solve it now. Otherwise, this is not the Teachers fault. This Teacher Anthony has done a more personable and enthusiastic job of conveying this technique that I think he was born to do this. I could have used this information decades ago, but its still so valuable, this course should be taught in language classes. Anthony is so enthusiastic about this method and so thorough in every facet of using it, I wish I had found this technique 30 years ago it would have saved me so much trouble, thank you for this course.

This course is amazing. Words can't describe how great i feel it is. Where do I begin..? Not only does the course deliver what it promises, it has changed the way i see the world and unlocked my creativity. My brain feels clearer, I am more focused and have begun enjoying creative 'fantasy' style cartoons and films which i never used to enjoy. I am remembering more words than ever before and having fun doing it. I have really enjoyed re-visiting places from the past in my mind and this has unlocked some old memories. I never knew memorizing could be so much fun. This isn't work now, it's a hobby. Anthony is warm, gives supportive guidance and you feel he is there for you. He has responded to every post quickly and at length. I think i have a new educational hero. This might all sound a bit much but it's the truth. My one criticism is that the sound is a bit low on the recordings which has made it hard for me to hear when using the app on my phone in noisier public places. No problem on computer at all though. This course is worth it at full price. If you get a discount, it's a no brainer. Be warned though, these techniques are not for the lazy. Like all good things in life, it takes work and time. The pay off is huge though. I hope you enjoy the ride as much i am. Good luck.

Of all of Anthony's products I think this course is the one to go for first. Whilst language is the focus of this course the principals can be adapted to remember anything. There are some challenging elements but the rewards are clear once you have applied yourself to the tasks. Plus the extra content answering Udemy students questions really fleshes out the concepts. I found it very rewarding and will continue to use the techniques into the future.

I´d come to this course because i was in the rush of learning french for a test was going to present. It resulted good and im going to France :D so this course is very good explained, as a not native english speaker, i thought i was going to have a little trouble with this course but no, the course was well explained. I felt like Anthony was there, he really want us to learn all of this and make a great work on it. Is worth give it a shot. As everything, mastery comes with practice, i use his method always and with the time i´d come to better results.

At first sight I've guessed: the course too large, overcomplicated etc I just finished the course. It wasn't only one method, it was bunch of method with lots of practice and advice. Not too easy but effective. I'll have to practice, build different palaces and pick the method(s) which best fit for me. The course itself help a lot: start to activate my mostly passive language knowledge (I've translate books on psychology etc). I hope my spoken and written English will improve fast (and programing languages and math etc) it was a very complex course. 1. Yes 2. Really well-prepared and enthusiastic and excellent presenter. 3. The quality was excellent (except the skype and google hangout bonuses) András István Erdélyi
