What is a Podcast? It is audio or video shows, that when you subscribe to them, are automatically updated on your Computer, Smartphones, iPads, Tablets, and/or iPods. Think of them as free radio or TV shows which you deliver Spam-Free! directly to your audience every time you produce one.
Podcasting is bigger than you think. When we survey people who listen to free, commercial-free audio Podcasts at least once a month: we discover an interesting fact: Online Radio beats AM/FM Radio, streaming audio, CD's, TV Music channels, & Sirius!
"Power Podcasting Rocks!"
"Scott is friendly and easy to follow. He clearly knows his stuff. All the tools are here, and laid out in easy way. I think it is a great course! I was shocked at how popular this is. Great marketing tool that I overlooked. Great education." ~ Dan Kobelt
If you look at the number of people listening to these free shows monthly, they are as popular as Twitter with 39 mIllion listeners, even if it doesn't get the same 'Love'.
But instead of communicating in impersonal 150 character Tweets, with Power Podcasting, you get right into the head of your target market for as long as they let you.
They are portable — and because of this, they are more personal.
Imagine whispering into the ears of your ideal customers every week... building strong relationships, trust and connections. But instead of One-to-One, Power Podcasting is One-to-Many! Our students know that Podcasting is relationship building in the sales process, and not the time to go for the hard close.
These listeners are higher income earners. They listen daily to an hour and forty minutes more audio than the average American consumer. They are dedicated to continual learning, so just imagine what happens when your show is available on new cars all over the world...
Power Podcasting "allows you to convey your personality in a much stronger way than is possible through the written word. That clarity in your message is seen and felt through your actions (on video) and the tone of your voice..." according to Chris Ducker, Author of #1 Bestseller 'Virtual Freedom'.
When you claim your seat in this course, you'll have permanent online access to watch the course 24/7, and there's a Q&A discussion section in each lecture, where you can post questions - and I'll answer them personally!
By following the short, simple, easy-to-follow lectures, you will be able to work through the process of setting up your show and publishing your first episode quickly.
The course was designed to accomplish one goal: Start a Podcast as fast as possible. I recommend watching the first 6 sections in their entirety. There are PDF workbooks included for you to use to clarify your topic, title, descriptions, intro and extros.
For 'Type A' personalities, there is a "Fast Track" Lecture (Section One, Lecture #6), in which if you already have a finished MP3 or MP4 file, reveals which lectures to watch so that after following only 33 minutes of video, you will have your show live and into iTunes. In other words, you can be up and running in under an hour.
The technical processes of are only one aspect of successful Podcasting. Walk through real life examples of producing a live show, discover how to use your voice effectively to move your audience, uncover how to repurpose content for your podcast that you may already be doing, and how to do it FAST!
Power Podcasting "will grow your email list, your audience, your influence and your bank account." Amy Porterfield of "Tweet This" and former Social Media Maven for social media for the likes of Harley Davidson & Tony Robbins.
Podcasts are growing rapidly, and thanks to CarPlay, Google Play and Apps, continue strong growth for years to come. It is just past the 'Early Adopter' stage and has huge potential moving forward. Don't miss out on the low-competition, high-demand opportunities that your fellow Power Podcasters are enjoying.
"Great content that kept my attention"
"Scott is obviously very knowledgeable, experienced and shares great content. I am a beginner and he has inspired me to believe that even I can do this. Also, I find some of the other courses very boring and they lose me. This one doesn't. Scott makes it entertaining, easy and fun to learn." ~ Marion Baker

There's a lot of good content in this course which can serve as a good beginners to intermediate guide. However I do think it needs updating. There's some repetition of lectures which I felt unnecessary. I'd like to see the lectures on social media updated because a lot has changed since this was recorded. Currently they seemed to predominantly focus on Google Plus, which was shut down for consumers in April 2091. This lecture was repeated more than once. I also think lectures on equipment could be updated. I don't think we need a full lecture on a selfie stick, but we may need lectures on things like Facebook Lives and how to get the best audio on a cell whilst outside. Finally Scott mentions that if you contact him via his website he will get back to you. I have messaged him with questions about equipment and I've yet to hear back from him.

I had actually just requested a refund from another course, that was tremendously expensive by comparison. It was well done, but very weak when going through the technical components of actually putting the pieces together. I literally went through the modules 5 or 6 times, and rewinding them several times during that time. I managed to put a couple of pieces together, but was not learning the important how tos. I am excited to be starting this course, and the pace is already way more comfortable for me, and I know that I will learn a lot. I am happy to have found this course, because I had invested in a professional intro and outro for my Podcast, as well as for the Cover Art. I will most definitely be sharing with other hopeful Podcasters in my sphere of influence. UPDATE TO REVIEW--I really do enjoy this course, and some of the guests are outstanding. But, when it comes to the actual production of the podcast, and post production as well, this course and others I have had, are extremely weak. For newbies, it takes a bit more hands on and instruction on using the tools like Audacity. Youtube is great for that, but it would be nice to have a few more modules on the technical stuff.

I have learned a lot about Podcasting but I haven't yet created the Podcast simply because I wanted to get an overview and ideas before I begin. I understand from Scott, the instructor, that all the material is current. In addition, he adds new material to the course from time to time to update the potential opportunities. My only suggestion would be to make all the computer "lingo" understandable to people who are not necessarily computer literate. We need definitions sometimes and clear outlining of "why you are doing this" to understand exactly what we are doing on the computer. More technical details are always good for those who are not so tech savvy. Thank you!

Scott's course is excellent. Very in-depth and covers the A to Z of podcasting. With this course I've filled in some gaps that I had from my own research and from other podcasting courses out there. The learnings from Scott's course has filled in those gaps and will enable me to actually get started. I would like to see some more ideas about topics though and more about how best to name the podcast. One fear I have is ending up being stuck with a name for a podcast or deciding on a topic that I'm not going to see through and be consistent in output, ie I might get bored with it if it becomes a chore. I don't want that to happen so having further lessons on best ways to choose the name, topic, content for the real world and how to deal with the "competition" would be great. For example, I want to do a podcast about money, personal financial management. But there's hundreds of them out there that touch on money, getting out of debt, investing and so on. How do I differentiate myself from that crowd? So I am pleased with my purchase of Scott's course and I love the way he's given himself the moniker "Dean of Blogonomics and Podology". I should do something catchy like that too ;) Thanks for a brilliant course Scott. I will have you as a guest on MY podcast when the time is right (like when I've started it! LOL).

Scott is very relatable, relaxed and generous with the information that I find very useful. I can tell that he has a lot of experience and very confident with his expertise. But most importantly for me is that he invites the students to contact him with any question. I hadn't reached out to him yet, but if he answers every question of mine, I would definitely upgrade the rating, because nothing is more useful and meaningful than receiving personal help when you're just starting learning a new skill.

This podcasting course offers a terrific education on what, when, where, how and why to podcast to promote your business or social cause. The tools, resources and PDFs are wonderful to help viewers like me go from zero to professional podcaster with the shortest amount of time and expense. Now 100% complete, I am truly enjoying this education and the opportunity to begin to tell my incredible stories. My suggestions to improve are to audit and correct the wide volume variations so that perhaps there is one standard volume for all shows or productions. Second, it's okay to promote others a little so why not put those resources into a PDF and announce its availability? It would make podcasts more poignant and save listeners precious time. I highly recommend a resource directory for listeners. Perhaps you have one and I haven't got there yet. No course is perfect, but this one is well worth taking if your goal is to be a really good podcaster.

Awesome! Extremely comprehensive. I feel confident about getting my podcast together and up and running within the next couple of days. The content was very well organized and the delivery was clear and concise. Scott is definitely a pro, engaging, with many years of experience. He walks the walk and talks the talk. A very good presenter (as one should expect someone who is an experienced podcaster to be.) Plenty of extra information, with invited guest speakers that can help you from many different angles with your marketing efforts as well. I look forward to now going through the first few sections a second time to go ahead and set up my podcast. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to start a new podcast. Thanks!

This is an excellent course for anyone who is completely new to the world of podcasting. The production quality is high and Scott’s presentation style is relaxed and informative. If you want to start a podcast, this course will guide you through many important aspects including recording your show, finding a host and getting your podcast into iTunes. It also provides information on how to deal with many of your self-limiting beliefs such as dealing with your fear of rejection and improving the quality of your voice. Thanks for providing so much value Scott.

Hi, I'd like to say this course has been awesome. I did not have a very clear objective when starting this course except I thought this podcasting concept was a good way to make money and though I'd like to explore this idea further - hence enrolled. Well I must say that for someone who did not have a clear objective I've come out with some excellent ideas to implement. This has not just helped, but has put me in an exciting new direction that I just can't wait to take this further. I love the fact that Scott was so quick to answer my silly questions, yet he never made me feel like my questions were silly. He was clear in communications and totally easy to understand. I have enrolled in a few Udemy courses however I have to say that Scott has been the clearest and most simplified in speech instructor I have had the privilege to know and be a student of. I will enjoy taking this further from student to working relationship when I take my podcasts live. I'm pleased Scott will be there and help me long after this course is over as he truly wants to see me, and all of his students, succeed and he will do what he can to make this happen. Thinking Podcast? Think Power Podcast with Scott Paton. Enjoy your course.

WOW Scott: I learned so much New information about Podcasting that I never knew before! The Power Podcast - Social Media Business Podcasting Success Course was very well organized and explained in laymen's terms. I especially liked your Google Hangouts with the several guests you had in the Lectures, and also the audio podcasts you had with guests. And that you recommend products for podcasting audio and video that don't cost an arm and a leg. For those who are new to podcasting, I would, without hesitating, hightly recommend this Podcasting Course from Scott Paton. And even for those seasoned in Podcasting, I would highly recommend this course also. Thank you, Jon Lutz
