I tried many of the things that were recommended, and nothing worked. E.g. I went out and bought the exact lapel microphone he suggested and it doesn't work with my iPhone at all, which he said it would. I feel the course was a waste of my money and time and really set me back with meeting my goal in a timely fashion.

Huw has a nice way to bring things across, I did enjoy this course. He did a nicely condensed jumpstart course on how to produce online video courses in order to get you started. Also it is a behind-the-scenes for his other courses. I have got a long history with community radio broadcasting, therefore I obviously already knew quite a bit of this stuff. But the lightning hints will be quite useful for me and even though I'm an audio person I have never encountered such a vocal booth. I will definitely get one. Recommended course.

this course is all about the tools you need to make online videos, but very little on how to use them or how to structure your material. the title is a bit confusing, its not how to teach online, but it should be "Tools you need to make videos online".

Nice Overview of what kind of equipment and preparation we should consider for online video. It is a nice and quick overview of what kind of equipment and preparation we should consider for online video. I enjoyed watching this course. At least, I got what I wanted to learn from this course. This course is not meant to learn how to use tools. Probably I need to learn how to edit video and audit a lot before getting ready to publish a video. Well, that's okay. We need to invest time and money to prepare for providing a decent online video course.

Nice job! I was truly amazed at how well Huw was able to take a mundane subject like "how to teach an online course" and turn it into a fun and interesting exercise. Really loved the simple yet functional approach on every aspect of audio, video, lighting, screen casting and presentation skills. And especially loved the candid camera humor intertwined in between the lectures...

For me this really is a five star course. It not only does what it promises in the title it does it efficiently. Fairly short lectures so that it is quick and easy to revisit anything that you need a refresher on. Doesn't waste my time with fluff. Doesn't send me crazy with music, bad English or bad sound. Doesn't recommend only expensive 'stuff'.

I have always wanted to create online teaching courses. I have a few books I have written that I want to make accompanying video courses for and also I am a personal trainer and want to make videos for people on how to workout. Now I have the knowledge I need and a list of items to acquire in order to start creating my own video courses. Thank you.

I have seen video lessons on this subject from at least 4 different sources and they were all superficial. They did cover a lot of details that this course has covered, but don't go into sufficient details to really enable us to decide what is suitable for us for our situation. I found that in video lessons from other sources, we land up being unable to decide in spite of a volume of information, whereas, with this course, we can decide for ourselves!!

It was really good to see how the instructor has set up his studio, and also to see that he was able to do it without much upfront investment. He indicates that it's possible to do good work with little up-front money, but then to add equipment if and when you find it necessary. He doesn't cover issues such as curriculum development, marketing, and other business topics -- the course is about "How to teach an online course" and that's what he provides.
