Course Description

In this course I will walk you through how you can effectively use and match four different styles of leadership.

Throughout the years I have seen so many leaders waste their time and talent by not matching their leadership style effectively, resulting in high costs, both financially as well as health and relationship wise.

Through clearly explained videos and downloadable materials I will walk you through step by step how to identify the different competence levels of your followers and match your leadership effectively by using different types of leadership.

Learn How To Effectively Match Your Leadership Style - Step By Step

  • Recognize the four different competence levels

  • Understand the need for four different leadership styles

  • Free up their time and energy by leading more effectively

  • Increase the motivation of your followers

Built on 20 years experience and more than 2000 hours of research

When I found my trainees struggling to adapt their leadership effectively I could not find an easy, practical material to teach them this.

So based on my background as a teacher, 20 years of working with leaders across the world and extensive research, I created that material.

Managers, leaders and human resource workers have since told me how simple it is to understand, how it gives them several "Aha!"-moments and how they use it as a continuing reference in their work with leadership styles in management.

In this course you will learn to recognize the four different competence levels and how they affect your leadership.

You will gain an understanding of the need for the four different kinds of leadership styles and how to use them effectively.

I will teach you how to free up their time and energy by leading each team member or follower they way they need to be led to achieve their full potential.

You will get vital keys to increasing the motivation and efforts of your team members.

Good information but could be a 10 min video. The entire course can be summarized by: Effective leaders adapt their style based on the competence and will of their followers. - If an employee's skill is low -> provide more guidance. - If their motivation is low -> provide more support. The rest of the course is just showing different models to explain this to fill 1h of content. It's not bad advice, just repetitive and boring.

When I attended the course, I felt like on some level I already executed my leadership activities while matching the leadership style to competence of team members, utilizing something like rapport building approach, but this course helped to actually systematize and overview the bigger picture and pinpoint the exact behavior models. Thanks!

Very interesting concept regarding Matched Leadership. The course made it clear that all employees or followers need to be provided resources, time, instruction, and/or relationship building in differentiating amounts depending on their competence level and willingness to grow and also provided clear ways to achieve this objective.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course on Matched Leadership! The comprehensive content, coupled with engaging explanations, made complex leadership concepts easily accessible. The historical context and theoretical frameworks added depth to my understanding. Overall, a well-structured and informative course that I highly recommend. Thank you for the valuable learning experience!

Very well put. Only criticism I have is to match the section 7 history to the already covered leadership styles, and competence levels to really bring it full circle. The history seemed slightly different than what we had already learned in some of the order and small nuances, which made the quiz seem more tricky trying to unlearn what we already had.

My personal experience to this course was excellent. I learned much from this about matching leadership. I learned that as a leader you need to match your leadership style to co-workers in order to be more effective in accomplishing your daily tasks. So I think as a leader, this course is really matched for me. Thank you for this course and more power.

This course indeed helps the learners to understand the competence levels to match leadership styles. This is also a big help to employees and managers to understand every situation in terms of competence levels and leadership styles. It is also an avenue to productive relationships between leaders and employees and the success of the organization as a whole.

The course was well structured with clear and valuable ideas about leadership. The bits and pieces I knew about leadership were all ordered and reviewed. I also liked the details about the researches that were reviewed. The tutor provided with over 5 researches that were done in 1940s - 1970s, including the research by the famous Ken Blanchard from "One minute manager". I wonder if more research was done in the later years? Improvements could be made in ways how material is presented. The slides had a lot of written information, which could have been presented in illustrated "chunks" or pieces. For example the parts about matched leadership guide were each presented in a different slide, but essentially were taken from the .pdf that was provided at the start of the lecture. I read the .pdf file and listened to the tutor reading the same parts with only minor additions. This re-reading could either be avoided or presented as pictures or graphs that would help to memorize the written information in the .pdf file. I really liked that .pdf file was included. I missed the .pdf files for the research review. Also, the above comments for presentation apply. I also felt that there was a lot of "reading from the slides". I would prefer graphical presentation and explanation with supporting .pdf documents. All in all, the course is very valuable and I would recommend it to other team leaders just to get a clear structure and background of leadership.
