This is a FUN course, as well as being really helpful with lots of practical advice. Roma provides an excellent role model on displaying professional competence while still being personable and even vulnerable at times. Fast paced, fun exercises, even some singing. BoHo! Roma's tips will become part of my course presentation preparedness kit. If you rely on your voice for fun or profit, you should definitely put this course on your short list. Marlowe

This course was amazing! I loved the simplicity about it and I could really feel the experience that Roma has in this topic. I enjoyed every single bit of this amazing in depth program! Roma is very engaging, knowledgable and injects a good bit of humor into the lectures. I found the tips for warming up the voice useful as well as the breathing exercises and information about voice projection. However, there was nothing offered beyond that about how to work on improving one's voice nor any suggestion of a daily routine to follow i.e, reading in a certain way, perhaps recording one's voice and critiquing it.

This teacher is embodying what she prones through her voice and posture. She is also clear and bring out the importance of truly being oneself. I had to give a note at the beginning (and I did) but I didn't change any of the stars I gave! Truly I'm now at the 20th lesson (still 5 to go) and I'm definitely enjoying it! Roma is clear, she knows her stuff, she brings a holistic and concrete approach to the understanding of one's voice (looking at posture, breathing but also healthy tips, well described and simple to do but so important exercises). I would love to know more about teaching and learning skills. I'm more of a kinesthesic and I would love to find out what is your understanding of this skills. That could be a course in itself though ;-). Anyway, thanks a lot for this great course.

This is my second course from Roma and I have found a lot to take away from this. Much of what she covers is reflected in the "how to sing #1" course, which is good for anyone who takes one or the other. I appreciated her knowledgeable advice about vocal health and the vocal exercises she suggests. I have no interest in teaching online, but I am striving to be a voice actor and singer, so both courses were very helpful. My only suggestion for making this course better would be to incorporate a few more warm-up techniques, as well as speaking a bit about how to avoid unnecessary mouth noises. Otherwise this was an instructive course, and I appreciate Roma's engaging, friendly professionalism, as well as her willingness to connect with her students.

I thought Roma was very effective in communicating her ideas. The fact that this course was short and taught skills that I could readily apply to my training (which I did just two days later - really...no kidding) was amazing. I was so excited to get the feedback below from one of my students: "Not too fast, not to slow. Good voice especially because it is a remote voice and I'm not native English speaking." Der Kurs ist unterhaltsam und fundiert. Es werden wertvolle Tips und Übungen an die Hand gegeben. Außerdem finde ich die Art und das Temperament der Dozentin sehr gut. Nur die Bildqualität könnte etwas besser sein. I took this course, because I have to produce a Podcast for one of my customers. For this I wanted to enhance my speaking skills / voice. The teacher gave very good overview, important things to look at and very useful exercises. I really like her style and her temper. Just the video quality could be improved a little.

This course was just what I was looking for. Roma is a delight to watch and listen to and her genuine desire to help her students succeed is clearly felt. The quality and pace of materials was very good and as described. Roma was great at keeping me engaged. She carried me through the course effortlessly. The pace was just right. I don't use my voice for a living, in fact, I can easily go 8+ hours without saying a word some days. I am creating some udemy courses and know some practice and advice in the voice department will be very helpful. The exercises and tips in this course have given me a great starting point and I have started incorporating them into my day to day. Also really appreciated being able to print some of the exercises/tips/checklists to have handy, which means I will actully do them! The only thing I wish the course touched on was how to find/determine one's natural tone/register/level - I'm not a vocalist or musician so I hope those are the correct terms. I only had to watch the promo and a few previews and I was sold on this course. And after taking it, I now know why. Roma goes over not only how to speak clearly, but how to speak engagingly as well. She explains how to speak so that your voice is easy to listen to. Gone are the days of sounding like you are reading from a script, and gone are the days of recording only to find that you can't hear yourself. And needless to say, the course itself is short, well structured, easy to follow, and oh so easy to listen to. After taking this course, I feel confident that with some practice and effort, I will be able to turn my disturbingly flat voice-overs for my own courses into something that students will enjoy listening to. I really like the teachers energy and personality, and that the information was concise. I'm looking forward to using the exercises, which is actually part of the reason I got the course. I want to be more confident with my voice. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the video fades out before the lecture is complete. I'm still able to hear it, but I think adjusting this would be nice. I have no vocal training, but I think this class will put me on the right track. I would like to do online classes, but my biggest hurdle has been the speaking part. I'm so self-conscious that I never do it. I considered vocal training to overcome this, but the financial part was a obstacle. Thank you for offering the class.
