My mission is to empower makers worldwide with the skills to make great products by providing step-by-step courses and materials. Ryan has developed hundreds of products in various industries throughout his career. This site is all about teaching people what they need to bring their products ideas to life!
I'm an inventor, maker, and industrial designer—and I've been designing products for manufacturing for years. But I also know that the process of getting a product to market is complicated, and it can be hard to figure out what the next step is when you're just starting out. So I started this company to help demystify that process and make it easier for people who have product ideas but don't know what the next step is.
We sell online courses which show why design intent matters, and then give practical examples to help hammer it home. These are powerful tools that allow customers to take control of their own product development process instead of relying on an outside party like an agency or manufacturer who may not understand their vision as well as they do themselves!

The course is interesting and captures a wide range of topics. However, the fact that there are no supporting documents summarizing key information for future reference is a significant downside. The addition of documentation or references would greatly improve the quality of the course. Also, in some cases important details are skipped or lie in the parts of the video that are shown in a fast-forward pace.

The course provides a good foundation and helped me understand where to start and what to look for, which I really appreciate. I think it could be even stronger by including a bit more scientific or technical depth, especially around specific design decisions, like guidelines for rib placement, material selection, and the reasoning behind them. Adding references to books or technical resources would also be a great complement for those who want to explore the topic further.

As an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, without experience injection molding, this was a great intro to the process. While I was familiar with some of the guidelines, through experience with other manufacturing techniques, stepping through them one-by-one was very helpful and the WIDGET checklist will be valuable moving forward. Some more examples of design challenges in injection molding would be a useful addition.

There are lecture courses where the instructor reads out of a textbook, and then there are real courses where the instructor spends time putting together a legitimate attempt to teach a subject based off of their experience and what they’ve learned in the field. This course is the latter. I would highly highly recommend this course if you want to learn how to (or how to better) design parts for injection molding. Super well put together, prepared and delivered. Amazing…

Great course so far. I do injection mold as well, so this is helpful tying together a lot of the information from the design standpoint that my training as a molder doesn't address. In my experience the designers don't talk to the molder hardly at all and it definitely does cause complications that could have been avoided and yes, those problems will cost someone. Ryan does a great job filling that gap.

Great course. Well-organized, detailed, and covered a broad scope. Ryan was really easy to understand, explained concepts clearly, etc. Good audio quality. Really feel like I got a solid overview of the full end-to-end process of designing and obtaining an injection molded part, including quantifiable rules of thumb and understanding of what drives up part and tool costs. I'm an EE but trying to gain knowledge and capability in ME disciplines and this course was perfect.

Very nice course for beginners in injection molding. Very good audio quality, clear speaking and easy to understand. Very well structured. Very nice examples of injection mold tools and part design. I would highly recommend this course to beginners. Even for people who already designed some injection mold parts, this course has interesting elements.

This was a great overview of the major factors to be considered when designing a part for injection molding. Based on this course, I believe I could create a viable design and have an effective conversation with a molding provider. Examples presented during this course covered practical solutions to problems which I expect to encounter and did not realize could be readily solved.

Great course for starters, I'm a program manager for a company that fabricates plastic molded parts, from time to time is good to go back to basics. Ryan has a very natural way to explain the course content. I honestly hope Ryan continues to create new content I would totally buy the courses.
