Inkscape: From Beginner to Pro In Inkscape & Graphic Design (Udemy.com)

With all of its features, Inkscape can be a little intimidating. This course really gave me a strong foundation to build on (and even helped me with some of the other graphics software that I use). I'm doing things with this software that I didn't know were possible. I really enjoyed the class projects, too. Great instructor!

This course is more than perfect, I am really glad that I found it. I really recommend it to anyone want to learn Inkscape or move from Adobe Illustrator to a free open source design software. Thank you for this great course.

Very informative so far. I have used inkscape before without training and kind of stumbled through it. This course is giving me some much needed background on the tools and options available to make vector drawings easily.

Like the other's couse of Michael, the must of this caracterist is the gimp course, have a lot of deep explanation about tools what we have in the program. But a miss a talk about alignment, pean and caligraf. I have some time used the inkscape and was a very nice refresh of nowledge. The update in 2025 was awesome.

This is the third Inkscape course I've taken on Udemy, and it is the best. Very complete coverage of features. Very good explanations and examples of the functions. Definitely moved me from a beginner to an intermediate user of Inkscape. Time to practice what I've learned.

Yes, a very good match for what I was looking for. David is VERY knowledgeable (maybe sometimes just a little fast but that's OK, that's what the pause and rewind buttons are for!). I've been able to follow along to create all the examples very easily. Looking forward to the upcoming exercises and learning more about circles, degrees in the circles for a specific project I need to create. Thoroughly recommend this course.

A nice introduction to Inkscape details, but it can be much better. My two suggestions: 1) Tool tutorials can benefit from practical examples. For instance you can show us how different tools will help us in drawing a cloud, house, car, tree, etc. 2) In line with that, there can be challenges along the way. Where we'll try the tools to draw something, fail at some parts, look at your hints, struggle for some time and then finally check your solution to make parts click. (There are some class projects but blindly following the instructions doesn't teach much)

This was a great course! I have also done the GIMP course with Michael Davies and it was also very good. Lots of information for sure and I will need to practice but I feel I have the information and skills I need to work with Inkscape. Just finished the tutorials on the snapping!!! Thanks so much!!! Fantastic course! Though it has less content, the quality is top-notch. Clear explanations and practical insights make this the best Inkscape course I’ve taken. I wish the instructor adds more content and projects to the course material. Highly recommend!
