Affinity Publisher for Beginners | Updated for Version 2 (Udemy.com)

This is a really great course. Ally's explanations are excellent. Lesson by lesson, she explains everything we need to start using Affinity Publisher immediately after finishing the course. During the course, she encountered a few errors, which was great because she demonstrated how to fix them. I enjoyed doing all the exercises, and the final project was super fun. This course was totally worth my time.

A great course. Easy to followww - all the worked examples and resources worked as they should and were well organised. I particularly like that Ally leaves in common errors you're likely to make such as not running picture in to the bleed, etc. so that you can learn how to spot and fix these issues. Although Affinity Publisher is now contained inside the new Affinity 3 most of this is still the same, so an good cross over course.

I'm really impressed with this short course as it covers all the basic skills I need to know to expedite my learning and has a nice amount of practical projects and bug fixing to cement what I have been learning in my mind. I have already bought the advanced course as I am sure it will be just as good, if not better.

The instructor is friendly and has carefully arranged lessons to build upon the previous instructions. I learned so much, and this was exactly what I was looking for! I purchased this class after the original course I purchased was spoken in English but the instructor's Affinity workspace was in another language, making it difficult for me to quickly learn. This course was perfect and I'd take another from her!

An excellent course. This is specially designed for those of us who are beginners and who do not know anything about this software. Without a doubt, it will be very useful for my design projects. Congratulations to the instructor since she explains very well and in a simple way. I think this course could reach 5 stars if it was updated with Publisher version 2.5. Cheers!

Ally is the most inspiring instructor that I have seen in a very long time! This is a GREAT course - with well-proportioned and well-paced chapters. And best of all: no annoying background music - and none of the eternal self-promotion that so many instructors seem to think that they have to add to be relevant and cool.

I haven't learnt anything concrete in years. I was a bit apprehensive about paying for this course, but I just felt like I needed to learn something. I used to play around with Photoshop 7 years ago which was released in 2002, so it has been over two decades since I've felt confident enough to use a publishing program and boy things have changed. I've tried Adobe, but they turned me off with their predatory subscriptions so bought the Affinity suite a while back but got overwhelmed. I tried Youtube tutorials for Affinity, but didn't find anything specifically for version 2 (V2). After reading that the interface was quite different, I was surprised there were no updates online. I even tried looking up to buy a physical guide book like the Dummies brand, but didn't see anything legit. By chance, I found this course, and so far, I'm really impressed with the tutor and interface. While I'm still only halfway, I've learnt things that will definitely make it easier to create documents in the future. I can't wait to actually start making things again and maybe even the project that I've been humming and harring about for far too long...

Hi ! I want to be clear with this formation. I bought Beginners & Advanced formation too. Well for me at 75% of the course it was too "cute and fancy" ! I took a long time to appreciate the teacher's method but I have to confess that the last lessons with concrete cases was in the tone I expect to learn something. Many little tips are now acquired so it's productive. Now If you know Affinity Designer, Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word I'm not sure that you have to access the beginner's course. Well thanks for your work that I respect. Will go to the advanced course ;) See Ya

Being a newbie and having very little knowledge of the Affinity courses, this was a great place to start for the Publisher 2 software. There are many exercises that have resources you download, so you can practice what you are being taught and shown throughout the course. Ms. Anderson does a very good job teaching how to use Affinity Publisher 2. I was impressed that by the end of the course, I was able to create a complete publication that looked really nice.

Excellent course! I am not a native English speaker, but you speak clearly and with a good rhythm, I was able to understand everything you said.
