** ACCORDING TO BUSINESS INSIDER: "Haroun is one of the highest rated professors on Udemy, so you can expect to be in good hands through the course of your education." **
Do you want an amazing and easy to understand introduction to accounting? In this course, you will learn how the 3 most important financial statements work (meaning the Income Statement, the Balance Sheet and the Cash Flow Statement). You will also learn about financial ratios and how accounting works in thew real world!
A free book of the ENTIRE course and much more is included!
This course is taught by an award winning MBA professor with significant real world experience working at Goldman Sachs as well as in the venture capital, hedge fund and consulting industries (he has founded several companies and sits on several boards). Many business concepts are simply common sense. This course will focus on business concepts that you need to know that might not be common sense. This course makes the general business, accounting and finance process very easy to understand! The professor of this course is also the author of "101 Crucial Lessons They Don't Teach You in Business School," which Forbes magazine recently called "1 of 6 books that all entrepreneurs need to read right now."
The contents of this course are all based on my work experience at several firms, including Goldman Sachs, the consulting industry at Accenture, a few companies I have started, the hedge fund industry where I worked at Citadel and most recently based on my experience at a prominent San Francisco based venture capital firm. I included helpful practical accounting concepts I learned while I did an MBA at Columbia University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University. Think of this course as a great introduction to accounting based on my undergraduate business degree, work experience in consulting, equities, hedge funds, venture capital and starting my own companies.
I have minimized “boring complicated concepts” in this course in order to keep it as close to reality and as simple as possible. The concepts of this course have been taught by me in many classes at several universities, where the student feedback has been universally and incredibly positive (please see my LinkedIn profile for student reviews / feedback on my teaching style/effectiveness - thank you. Also please see reviews of my books in Amazon and here in Udemy on my teaching - particularly in my Udemy course on "101 Crucial Lessons They Don't Teach You in Business School,").

This session was able to provide a summary of the differences ratios types and how the financial reports fit together, in a quicksession. For more detail, you may need to find another one of his sessions.

Your courses are always interesting to follow. I'm not good with bookkeeping and accounting which is why I am taking these courses so I can better myself. I'm good with numbers, but not how to put them together for finance.

Yes it was, I was able to understand the concept of those key accounting words. Looking forward to learning more. The downloaded lecture note was just a one page showing the topic, would it be possible the full lecture noted be shared to our registered inbox

I have always enjoyed his courses on Udemy and this was a great course which cut out the majority of the ratios and theories and focused on understanding that important stuff...as he stated in this digital age let Quickbooks worry about that stuff. I actually use your his courses to supplement understanding some real world key principles before getting into my some of my current MBA classes. I am excited that he has launched his own MBA program, as well. Plate is full right now and so is the class but for the price, that is something I might think about to balance the theories and book work with his application to real world. Well, maybe 2021 class ..lol. In regards to this class, it was a good no frills introduction to accounting. On to Introduction to Finance, Accounting, Modeling and Valuation next. Thanks again Chris

Very disappointing It has no content in it. 10 minutes about accounting and 50 minutes book about what Chris thinks is the future in a Tony Robbins style. This was the second course I took from Chris. The first was very good . But in this one I lost respect for hem. Chris you should delete this course or edit it and give it some value . Beacouse you have the knowledge if you wanted to.

This course is a nice introduction to accounting and business. Chris covers some basic concepts that are important for anyone who wants to understand more about what to look for in a company to invest in(or work for). Chris is a positive and motivational instructor. Thanks!

Thanks Chris for providing such a wonderful class. Chris is the best professor who always know how to teach. Even as the famous for boring subject accounting, he still can find a way to help you understand it easily and fun! Really enjoy it.

I think the instructor is an amazing teacher and very self aware. I mean self aware as in he seems to know how to deliver concepts and understands the difficulty the student may encounter in trying to understand such concepts. I also think he is a great teacher and can really engage with you. He isn't boring, like some courses can be on similar topics as this. I really recommend to those who want a clear and easy to digest understanding of basic accounting concepts.

As i had no background in accounts Mr Haroun vested a great interest in me regarding the subject. Also the content is lucid and easy to grasp.Mr haroun's way teaching is very interesting and engaging.

This is a general accounting course focusing on fundamental accounting and business finance concepts. I have taken accounting courses in the past and this was a great, no b.s. overview of must know concepts. Whether you are new to accounting or you are looking to sharpen your knowledge, I highly recommend taking this course; in part because it's taught by someone who dedicated his whole career to the world of finance - investment banking, hedge fund and venture capital. Personally, I draw to those who have been in the trenches and know first hand what it takes to be successful. Good luck!
