Overall, I found the course content valuable. However, it would be helpful to provide supporting materials and include the links to resources mentioned by the instructor. I would also recommend updating the course content and references, as some of the information appears to be outdated. These improvements would make the course more useful and relevant for learners.

Excellent high-level summary, though pacing is fast. The course structure is excellent and covers vital data engineering concepts. The instructor is clearly an expert in the field. My only critique is the pacing: as someone with prior knowledge, I followed along easily, but I worry a total beginner might feel overwhelmed by the volume of content. Great course overall, but beginners should prepare to study a bit extra.

Course was very informative. It provided an introduction into what a DE career would entail. Looking forward to following up on the next DE course.

Exactly what I needed from a high level when it comes to data engineering. I've been in a Software Engineer role for a few years and work with data a lot. I am familiar with some data engineering concepts, but this course helped provide a framework of knowledge and ways to approach things I come across in my day to day.

A good introductory tutorial for someone aspiring to be a Data Engineering. Additionally it would have been good to have a section to know what are the next steps in Data Engineering that can be taken up.
By Muhammad Amirul Akmal bin Haji Menjeni on 4/15/2026
I've read Joe Reis' Fundamentals of Data Engineering years before watching this video. Safe to say the course is a good video complement to the book (the instructor also recommends reading the book, if you want a deeper dive). Not only this course covers the important concepts of data engineering really well, but the instructor also delivers the course content in a way that makes it interesting to listen to.
By Sim Yu Lian on 4/4/2026
An effective course equips learners with relevant knowledge that can be readily applied when opportunities present themselves.
By D Venkata Rama Rao on 2/10/2026
This is an excellent course for an overview. Persons with basic experience in software field and want to get into DE would find this course useful, to know the concept of DE and skill set required.
By Anonymized User on 1/26/2026
Not for begineers, suitable for those who have very little but some basic knowledge. This is kind of an overview course. Explained everything topic wise but with no details, as the name which is introduction. if you want to know about what is there in the Data engineering go for it, but if you want to learn topics/tech. then take the topics from here and learn them somewhere else.
