I was expecting a little bit more time to be spent on "Styles" as I wanted to learn how to set up a template with Heading1/2/3, Normal, Lists etc

Already know most of what is being discussed. As the course continues, I am learning some helpful tips and features that I wasn't aware of at the start.

i have taken Office 2013 courses, and I have been fortunate each time that Toby was the instructor. His explanations are clear and to the point. His exercise files are very helpful because I'm the kind of learner who needs to immerse myself in a topic, try things out and make mistakes. Thanks to Toby, I'm feeling a good bit more confident with each of these software packages. Many thanks!

The full paid course has more information of course, but even as someone who has used word 2013 since it came out, I learned something new from this course and its thoroughness.

This was wonderful! I may have known how to do most of the items shown but there was still a lot a did not know about and found very useful. I would tell anyone to take this class to better their knowledge of Microsoft Word 2013

For the most part, I feel this was a good Intro to MS Word. I have little reason to dock a point as it generally teaches what I think it should. However, parts of it seemed more like it was teaching a keyboarding class, rather then specifics of MS Word. For example, I didn't need to know the difference between the backspace key and the delete key. That said, I can see where many taking an intro class would need that kind of detail and might really appreciate it. So I can't dock it for that; but wanted to note it here. I didn't personally need keyboarding info, such as ctrl-c for copy and ctrl-v for paste. But I did find the portions detailing the tools and options specifically related to MS Word to be useful (like the clipbook). I feel there was a good amount of material covering introduction level MS Word. If you have no real background in word processors but need to get started somewhere, this is a good course. If you're a power level but have been stuck with something like MS Word 2003 for a while, there are likely elements in here that you'd figure out easy enough without the course. As an example, I already knew exactly what the clipbook was, I just hadn't seen its implementation in MS Word 2013 yet (so I feel it was valuable material for an intro level course). I feel it was also useful in showing some of the various options and changes between my prior version of MS Word and the 2013 edition. Nothing I wouldn't have figured out just playing around. But nevertheless, the course feels solid and useful in terms of its intended audience (an intro level). For that I give it five stars. I would highly recommend this course to anyone needing an intro to MS word and some of the basic keyboarding skills. Power users wanting to convert to MS Word may find some portions to be little slow, but will likely also find some good relevance in other parts as well.

This course helps me a lot, I would suggest this course anyone who has know nothing or very little about the word. Of course its a free course so its only for beginners if one wants to learn he has to pay the price. :)
