Cons

    • A more complete library of iOS resources might not exist anywhere.
    • The forums might be even better than the library with developed discussions on every topic.
    • Tutorials cover every topic at every level of difficulty. Everyone can find value here.
    • The volume of information is overwhelming.
    • Keeping lessons organized for review can be cumbersome.
    • A lack of guidance makes it easy for students to get lost in the woodwork of so much information.

I don't know how good is Ray Wenderlich but his site is really good with great tutorials for iOS programming. There is also an Android section with interesting tutorials.

Usually, Apple engineers wait on Ray tutorials to be released so they know what to include in the next version of their stuff. It's that good.

Ray Wenderlich used to be good. Then he started paying guest bloggers or whatever to start making tutorials and some of them aren't so great. Also they teach with very limited examples with trashy apps that aren't real-world applicable. Not a great place to start if you want to build professional iOS apps.

Ray Wenderlich video tutorials are great, but you do have to pay a monthly subscription to access most of them. What I like about them though is they take you through things from start to finish and cover nearly everything when it comes to iOS.

I have found solutions to many problems that I've faced on this site, as well has numerous tutorials that have made me a better iOS developer.

Great resource. Been developing iOS since 3, and I'd suggest this to anyone beginner or not. They go beyond "this is how you do this" and they get you thinking the right way. They always subtly teach you little design patterns or habits you should be doing when structuring your code.I can also tell you a lot of their authors have full time positions at different companies around the country/world, so they're not just people that have jobs just making tutorials..

Ray Wenderlich has awesome courses, he really did help me when I was going into iOS development.

Get started with Ray Wenderlich. This is a really cool website to get started, with great complete tutorials and downloadable source code (thats really useful). At this stage, pay emphasis to get comfortable with the IDE, objects, controls and syntax. Learn well about Storyboards, segues, how to connect 2 storyboards, data structures, frameworks, protocols, delegates and other unique Objective-C/Swift features.

Ray has tutorials on almost every subject you can think of and a ton of them are free. Some are for subscribers only, but I've learned plenty for free from this site. You want to learn how to build a fancy UI Control that spins and draws charts? He's got that covered... You want to know how to fly in pieces of your log in form for your app to make it more interesting with animation? He's got that too.
