Course Description
This Jeet Kune Do Fundamentals & Concepts course is part of The JKD Process, an online Jeet Kune Do Training Program designed to teach you the entire JKD curriculum as passed down from Bruce Lee to his first and second-generation students. In this course, you'll learn the basic principles and concepts of the original art of Jeet Kune Do. This forms the foundation of learning Jeet Kune Do correctly. From there, you'll learn the JKD on-guard stance from which most offensive and defensive action take place. This stance is designed to be the optimal stance for both attacking and defending. Next, you'll learn basic footwork. After all, you must be able to move in your stance and maintain proper balance. Next, you'll learn the JKD straight lead punch which Bruce Lee called the backbone of all punching in JKD. This is the primary punching tool used to intercept your opponent. You'll also learn the JKD vertical hook kick and more! You'll learn not just the techniques, but also how to generate power, improve timing, speed, coordination, balance, and the concepts to make it all work! When you've completed the course, you should have a good framework from which to continue your study in Jeet Kune Do or simply refine what you've learned.

I'm about to further my experience into evolving my Chinese boxing skills (wing chun taught in West Yorkshire, England by Master Colin Ward from 2022-Present online, Fujian White crane boxing: 3 battles routine taught by a southern-style Shaolin monk on udemy, and plum blossom fist taught California martial arts on youtube) into the Chinese American Street Course! I've mastered the 1-inch punch during my wing chun course on wing chun online and came to notice that I could make a difference that nobody knows about. Maybe for those who are yet worthy of me. The point is whatever simple thing one can do can become a teacher out of a moral state of development as long as that person has two arms and two legs. I'm still aiming towards doing some Wushu. The rest, I'm skilled at with what I do best at. All I need to do is get myself some insurance and teach these things!

I have read all the books and so on, but it's nice to have a person showing how to do everything in detail. this series is also great, since it's not very common to find a JKD dojo.

So fr I've watched two sessions. Awesome! What I really appreciate is the thorough explanation of each move, stance, etc. He explains the "science" behind it, demonstrates it carefully and just the right pace so you feel you are getting the whole picture of the "how" and "why" which is so important. Highly recommended!
