Course Description
UPDATE: Added section on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)
In the fast-paced world of Data Science and Machine Learning, you have to stay up-to-date and keep ahead of the competition. For this, you have to constantly be on the lookout for the latest trends in tools and techniques for Data Science and Machine Learning. You don't want to miss out on the latest trend and the tool of the future! Right now, that tool is the Julia programming language. It's the hot new language that all ML and data science experts are very excited about. Learning Julia will open up several doors for you in your career!
That is the objective of this course: to give you a strong foundation needed to excel in Julia and learn the core of the language as well as the applied side in the shortest amount of time possible.
In this course, we take a code-oriented approach. We don't waste time with the theory of why Julia is fast. We jump right into the details and start coding. You will quickly realize how easy it is to learn this state-of-the-art and promising language. You will see how you can start using Julia to excel in your current job without moving the whole stack to Julia immediately.
We take a case-study-based approach. After explaining the basic concepts, we jump to case studies in data science and then machine learning. We apply both traditional machine learning models and then get to deep learning. You will see how Julia can help you create deep learning models from scratch in just a few lines of code and then move on to the state-of-the-art models without spending too much time.
This way, you get to learn the most important concepts in this subject in the shortest amount of time possible without having to deal with the details of the less relevant topics. Once you have developed an intuition of the important stuff, you can then learn the latest and greatest models even on your own! Take a look at the promo for this course (and contents list below) for the topics you will learn as well as the preview lectures to get an idea of the interactive style of learning.
Remember: The reason you pay for this course is support. I reply within the day. See any of my course reviews for proof of that. So make sure you post any questions you have or any problems you face. I want all my students to finish this course. Let’s get through this together.

If you have some previous knowledge on the subjects mentioned here, this is an allright course. However, the course itself exhibits bad coding habits/conventions, most of the stuff used here is heavily outdated, some to the point that it isn't available. This is definitely a downside. I also found no disclaimer that this would be a higher-level course in Data Science and Machine learning, yet it builds on concepts that are considered intermediate on both fields

Good: -One of the few nice Julia video tutorials on the market -A good introduction tutorial to Julia programming language although the last chapters seems a little too advanced and focused on Data Science/Artificial Intelligence Bad: -The author speaks a little too fast (something like 1.25x fast forward) -More code comments will be more than welcome

Amazing and meaningful. However, I recommend you to learn or be familiar with python or other languages before you start it. It makes easier to learn this course. And, this instructor replies quickly and kindly. That was really helpful for me. Thanks so much, I do this again and again.

The course starts with a concise but very nicely paced introduction to the basics of the language. It then introduces various libraries for doing data science with Julia. It is probably clear from the short length of the course that you should not expect an in-depth treatment of any of the topics. However you get a short introduction to some of the commonly used libraries for data science which you can then investigate in more depth.

I loved this course. It struck an excellent balance between introducing the syntax of Julia and showcasing where it really shines. I really like the idea of Julia starting out, but I fell in love with the language when I saw what you could do with closures! The modules in Flux where also incredibly informative. My only comment would be that it would be nice to spend a tad more time in the validation topics for classification/clustering but I understand its also good to leave some independent learning to the student as well.

It was fun to drink from this fire hose! To see Julia from the most basic knowledge all the way to Machine Learning. But I do wish the lecturer got rid of a few speech idiosyncrasies, like constantly asking the audience "Okay?" and pausing as if the "class" is supposed to fill in the blank ("...you should be able to" (said with a rising tone) "read it.").

Fast paced course, does not get bogged down over explaining concepts. If you are coming from another language this is a great way to quickly get up to speed with Julia. I wouldn't recommend this if you are new to programming, but I also don't think new programmers are the intended audience.

The format is lecture style. The presenter is very clear and it is well laid out. You will see, if you are familiar with Python/basic coding how the basics of Julia work. However, there are no exercises or working through the code - so it would be very difficult to troubleshoot errors or deal with necessary syntax changes to apply it to your situation. Overall: Worth the purchase but you should already be familiar with coding and do not expect getting "into the weeds" on any topic.

Great course which does a good job of introducing Julia and the quirks which make it unique. One should note that a certain degree of knowledge of ML is required to understand everything that's going on in the last (ML) section. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it enables people who are already proficient with the concepts to quickly get up to speed in Julia. Would highly recommend this course to people trying to get a fast but still thorough introduction to Julia.

Really enjoying this course. I like the little hints about Python and how Julia is different. Would update the review after getting through the machine learning part. Update: ML in julia is so great. I had trouble finding F1 scores automatically in keras but it's so easy in Flux. Great explanation in the course. Thanks doc.
