Course Description

Dive into the depths of Azure and Large Language Model (LLM) applications with this comprehensive course. Starting with the initial setup of Azure account structures and resource groups, moving to the practical management of Azure Blob Storage, this course equips you with the essential skills to navigate and utilize Azure's extensive offerings.

We then delve into different vector stores, such as Azure Cognitive Search and PgVector, comparing their advantages and disadvantages. You will learn how to chunk raw data, embed it, and insert it into the vector store. A typical Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) process is performed on the vector store, primarily using Jupyter notebooks for this part of the course.

After covering the basics, we transition from notebooks to using docker-compose to locally spin up services. We'll delve deeply into how these services work.

The next step is deploying these services to the cloud, where we learn about new services like the Container Registry and App Service.

Once the Web Apps are set up, we implement an event-driven indexing process with Blob Triggers, the Event Grid, and Azure Functions to index documents upon changes in Blob Storage.

The final chapters cover basic security measures, such as setting up a firewall for the database and IP-based access restrictions.

This course is tailored for individuals with foundational knowledge of Python, Docker, and LangChain and is perfect for anyone looking to build real applications with a production-grade architecture, moving beyond simple playground apps with Streamlit.

He teaches well but doesn’t respond to queries. I have postings a couple of questions on the challenges I am having and there has been no response.

This course was exactly what I needed! The instructor does a great job explaining intermediate concepts of Langchain and seamlessly shows how it integrates with Azure. What I really loved were the practical examples. They helped me understand how to actually build AI apps and automation tools using these technologies together. The course covers crucial parts of the Azure ecosystem like Cognitive Services and Functions, with lots of hands-on examples and useful code templates. You learn how to handle real challenges and optimize your applications. Definitely worth the investment if you want to build AI apps using Langchain and Azure. I left feeling confident and ready to create!

Serves my purpose, very engaging, if you want to learn Langchain and new to LLM or you are not interested in software dev this is not for you.

By Chris Wolstenholme on 4/15/2024

This was a great introduction to setting up an LLM application in Azure. It covered a lot of useful stuff, including setting up a web application and a REST API with a vector database. You do need prior knowledge to fully understand the course, as the basics aren't taught here, but, if you have that knowledge, adding an Azure hosted application is easy to understand.

By Maysam Mansor on 4/9/2024

so far I fully understood the context until this docker section :)

By Deepak Rode on 1/15/2024

Excellent course! For me this course was a bit challenging as I started it with almost zero knowledge of the microservices and docker. For others, it may not be that difficult. The instructor is very helpful and replies to questions quickly. Overall, this is a great course.
