I was a little dislike on the code because the teacher didnt give the code but the rest was ok.

do I need to buy a kit with all the components? starting with a lack of information

This Arduino course was super easy to follow and really fun. The instructor explained everything clearly, starting from the basics and slowly moving to more interesting projects. I liked how we actually built things along the way instead of just listening to theory. The examples were practical, and I now feel confident using sensors, motors, and LEDs in my own projects. Definitely worth it if you want to learn Arduino from scratch.

I am a complete beginner and this course claims to be for beginners. However, this is not always the case, for many reasons: 1. Parts lists are not readily available for each project. I had to search through the Q&A section to find a question posted by another student with a link to a spreadsheet containing the parts. There were links provided for the parts, none of which are currently active. When ordering the parts, I had to guess at what I needed in many cases. 2. The very first project is a medicine reminder. It starts out with describing an electronic component needed for the project as the first lesson. Why start so specific when beginners wont know how this part works with the project. Instead, it should have been presented as a big picture and narrowed down to facilitate learning. 3. Many acronyms are used and not explained. 4. The code for each project is not provided in written form. The video must be viewed and many of the comments within the code are cut off on the screen. If a mistake is made during manual entry, the videos must be rewatched until each line of code is displayed. With written code, the student could initially type it in, and then compare when/if a mistake is made. Apparently, written code is only available by specific request. 5. As the code is explained, it is not explained from a beginner's perspective, and it is also skimmed through leaving out many details. For example, even a simple explanation like: I am using this command because it is provided through the library we loaded earlier. Its more of an approach that the student types it in and will eventually learn why its needed. 6. Simple things, like what software to use to input the code into, are not explained. These projects are interesting and I'm enjoying the learning process, I just wish this team made it easier.
