Course Description

Welcome to the Articulate Storyline 360 Training series of video tutorials. In this course you will learn in depth methods and techniques to design and develop e-Learning content using articulate storyline.

With Storyline 360, you can quickly create effective and engaging courses and presentations that include voice overs, video, animation, and dynamic user interaction using a familiar PowerPoint-style interface.

The visual development environment is user friendly, but like any sophisticated piece of software, it does come with a learning curve.

This training course will provide e-learning developers, instructional designers, in-house trainers and subject matter experts with the knowledge and know-how to design, build and publish their own rapid e-learning programmes using the Articulate Storyline 360 software.

The course has 38video tutorials and will take approximately five hours to go through it at a stretch.

This course includes demonstrations and examples of building e-Learning content. You will learn to create basic slides, interactive e-Learning modules and simulations. You will also learn to work with videos, images and drag and drop interactions and, you will also learn to create quizzes for assessing your learners.

In principle the course is ok. It teaches you indeed the basics. But, when I had questions, the answer from the course leader would always be "look at the video again, it's clear to me". That is not a great help. I've stopped asking questions after 3 such answers. When a student doesn't understand something, the facilitator has to help. You don't help at all by saying watch the video again. There are some modules where the facilitator forgets to mention something and therefore it won't work if you follow all his steps, because he doesn't mention all steps. Module 29 in particular is not well done. His updates are the best in detail and he should incorporate more like those.

I had some difficulty understand the accent of the facilitator so I turned on the closed captioning feature. There are MANY individual words displayed in the cc that do not accurately correspond with what the facilitator says--this is distracting, thus unnecessarily increasing the cognitive load of the learner. The facilitator does a good job walking through the various options on the ribbons with many comments that we will view these in greater detail as the course processes.
