From Basic to advance means the instructor would have given more details about the keywords, syntax and more details and explanation about class. Here the content is good only for those who have already some idea about c++. Else it will become confusing. More examples should have been given.

By Christer Ă–sterlund on 4/18/2018

The examples was compact and did just show the different parts of the c++ code. I really liked that! The exercices was many but most in the first half of the course. Since it is my first C++ course I have a little hard time to validate it, but my feeling is that the examples was generally very good,

A normal indian trying to teach and there is one case where I saw him referencing a website. Perhaps, his own concepts are not cleared. Pointers has been taught like shit at the moment.

Its really great course, anyone who wants to become a professional c++ developer it is the best one in the udemy. The instructor is really brilliant and very information, secondly he explains clearly every concept. He is the best and his course is the best,so give it a chance for learning c++ at an advance level.

I am not giving 5 stars because this is a general course and it does not have a built project that would reinforce the teaching. I like the way he explains things, very simple and easy to follow. He gives some theory and the homework after test are good to practice the things he explains on the videos.

This course is a very good starting point for understanding the world and language of C++. The topics are treated in a very nice and simple way. It is not a very detailed course, but at the beginning it is better to focus only on the main concepts. The only (small) problem are the exercises...sometimes a little bit tedious stuff. Anyway, one of the best introduction to c++ I have found. I will recommend it!

By Kirk DeMartini on 2/7/2016

I would recommend this to anyone just starting out with C++. All topics in C++, including advanced topics like abstract classes and polymorphism, are covered in straightforward fashion. The exercises are the best for getting the right practice at learning program logic. This course lays the proper foundation for C++ usage probably better than any traditional college course available.

Course covers everything and is very thorough. Exercises are set at the end of most sections testing your knowledge of what was taught. These exercises are not easy and when completed you will have a very good understanding of the concept taught. You will not get anything out of course or become a programmer without completing these exercises properly, they are really set up to train yourself to think the way a programmer needs to. You will need some understanding of math or the ability to teach yourself math concepts to complete any of the exercises, ie: creating a program to list through Armstrong numbers. You need to teach yourself what that is first before completing the exercise. There are no answers to any of the exercises to check against, but the instructor will respond to any questions if you get stuck. Overall, you will get out what you put into this course. It is comprehensive.

The instruction quality that you will get from this course is hands down, the best. I have two college degree's and the level of thoroughness and instruction in this course trumps even the best college level courses. One note about online classes and program; you get out of it what you put into it. You can easily blow through this class and not be a very good programmer. However, if you put effort into this class, act inquisitive, and engage the instructor, you will come out a very good programmer. The teacher knows his stuff and you will too if you put effort into this class! I love this class. Do his assignments, partake in his quizzes like they are real life tests, listen to lectures and rewind as needed, ask questions (chances are, if you have the question someone in his class also has the question). I can't say enough good things about this class or this instructor...this blew away my expectations and gives me hope for online programs that are affordable. One note, the instructor has a slight accent; don't give him grief for it. He goes out of his way to make sure the concepts hit home and covers minute details that many college professors would expect you to teach yourself. This instructor could teach a dog how to program; sign up now. Even if you have coding experience like I do, you will gain stuff from this class and you will develop a better understanding. Sign up now, you won't be disappointed.

I originally took this course to learn more about C++ for various coding competitions, and it has really helped me do well in them! The lessons are simple step-by-step procedures, and he writes the code in real time so you can follow along, and explains why he does things the way that he does. There are PowerPoints to introduce and explain new concepts, and on multiple occasions, the information supplied in these has helped me out quite a bit! Thorough explanations, well-thought out lesson plans that are never too long, and easy to follow tutorials. This is easily one of the best courses I have taken, and the price is really low for what you get. 10/10 recommend.
