Learn Excel 2016 Intermediate Level - Beyond the Basics (Udemy.com)

I think this course was a bit fast paced. Personally I think the annotations are particularly useful for learning but trying to read the text whilst he was also talking quickly made it a bit confusing and I had to keep pausing and re-watching sections over again. Further more in the exercises, having all the same city, state and zip code (after row 30) made it confusing to check my answers were correct. Finally there were some errors in the solutions/questions. In exercise 1 there was an instruction in round nine to input the data into 'Main A19' but I'm sure they meant to put it in A10 to update the conditional formatting.

This is what I need to learn, but it's too much too fast. Plus, the narration doesn't match what the text bubbles pop up and say. trying to focus and listen and trying to read what the pop up says derails one's thinking. Also, a hands on portion following each formula would be nice. Even a simple "fake" workbook to test the ability to input a formula properly would be helpful to get some hands on experience.

For me, this course was an adequate introduction into the various parts of being an intermediate excel user. From lookups to customizing pivot tables Simon was able to clearly explain the basic functions of each excel tool. However, his explanations on how to apply or customize those tools were too fast as I often found that he would splice or insert various formulas in a quick second, whilst explaining another concept. Furthermore, the juxtaposition of text on the screen window paired with the teaching audio only served to clutter the workspace that Simon was using. This resulted in a muddled delivery that had me too quickly switching my attention from the text to trying to comprehend what Simon was teaching. I purchased this course on sale for 18 dollars and can only recommend the course at that price as a full 75$ is just too steep.

Quite a thorough intermediate course, good selection of topics that build upon basic Excel knowledge. I liked how the course introduces advanced features without going into too much depth. Videos are definitely worth re-watching for future revision. Thanks for producing these tutorials.

Simon is a great instructor. The course is paced just right and covers a wide variety of Lookup and Reference Functions in Excel 2016. The course is also supplemented by neatly designed responsive exercises within Excel Sheets that are informative and challenging. Overall a great Intermediate Excel course.

The instructor of this course made a lot of effort to give elaborate and real-life examples and exercises for us to practice. The exercises are challenging so I after finish one I really feel that I understood the subject.

I'm an analytics professional who thought that I was an intermediate user of Excel - but taking this course, even having used Excel professionally for 7 years already, is going to make a lot of my work faster and more importantly CLEANER + MORE AUDITABLE. Perhaps NOW I can confidently say I'm an intermediate to advanced user of Excel. Thank you so much for this course Philip!

It's good site for E-learning. It has both facilities audio as well as caption which helped me to understand MS-Excel , example file in zip format was too very helpful in understanding scenarios. It is really helpful for all who want to pursue computer education and they don't have teacher to teach them. 7 stars !!! from my side.

excellent presentation, correct speed and able to understand instructors directions and comments without scratching my head wondering what just happened. I must be missing something with me doing the practice exercises, have not done any and course has indicated doing 6 of them so far? Still great information up to this point and not a waste of time.

Excellent course. Supporting files and practise (and solution) files are all provided so it is easy to follow the lecturer Philip Trick. He is very knowledgable and explains not only functions and formulas but also how they relate and can be used building on each other. He talks a bit fast, but there is a pause button (or the playback speed can be reduced) so that is no problem. Learned a lot, some i will be able to use immediately, other lessons may come handy later. There does not seem to be any support for questions from participants.

In many parts, examples and how it uses in Excel is not understandable.
