Course Description
Learn Fusion 360 by working on real-world mechanical design projects that go beyond theory and into hands-on application. This course is perfect for students, engineers, designers, and hobbyists who want to develop professional CAD skills while building an impressive portfolio of mechanical projects.
Through a series of carefully structured, project-based lessons, you will gain a deep understanding of Fusion 360. You will learn how to create 3D solid parts, assemble complex components, apply realistic materials, and even animate mechanical movements. Starting with basic skills, you’ll gradually move to more advanced techniques as you design and assemble functional mechanical systems.
In this course, you will work on creating more than 50 individual mechanical parts across a range of projects, including a Pipe Wrench, Press Vice, Four-Cylinder Engine, Double-Roller Barrel Throttle, Swivel Bearing, and a flying Ornithopter. These projects are designed to simulate real-world applications, allowing you to apply your new skills in practical scenarios.
By the end of the course, you’ll have mastered solid modeling, assembly creation, applying joints and constraints, creating professional renderings, and producing animations. Whether you’re looking to advance in mechanical design, start a freelance career, or enhance your skill set for a job in engineering, this course equips you with the tools and confidence to succeed.

Found very good, well paced, could do with more explanation on methods and execution

Wow! this is by far the best tutorial on Fusion 360 I have come across. Logical methodical and concise. I have just finished the engine block which looked really complicated from the drawing but following the tutorial made everything clear.

Really liked it, helped me learn how to use fusion better by experiencing it instead of watching tutorials. Would prefer if there are more context & explanation. For example, some explanation on the function of what we will be making and why it is relevant to the assembly.

PDF files are not clear enough especially for beginners. But good practice in general

She is very clear and well organized. I like the short, targeted videos showing you just one thing at a time. Knocking off a star just because she has a heavy accent and it's a little hard to understand her. But I like her. It would also be helpful if she would explain a little how the tools work - why she's selecting certain options, and pointing things out. For example I got all the way through the course without understanding you can control the direction of the Revolute joint simply by how you click the snap point. At one point I redid an entire exercise 3x just to get the thing to rotate correctly, when just a word from her could have shown me that redoing it all wasn't what made the difference. It was how I clicked the snap points. Often I had to rewind many times to understand exactly where she's clicking and why. As a teacher myself I would be pointing out the pitfalls and problems of performing the steps, but she doesn't (why?). Also, many times the models did not work exactly like hers did - and I had to backtrack, google, and try to figure out why on my own. I don't mean to sound negative because really the course was a great experience - but it would have been helpful for her to explain WHY she was doing what she was doing. I've already used Fusion 360 for awhile so I had a little idea of how to fix things when they didn't go to plan exactly. Still, it's great training if you are dedicated to learning as I am. I really liked the project-based approach, and I would recommend the course if you already know some basics in Fusion 360. If you're a total beginner, don't bother; it's too hard. You'll get lost and frustrated very quickly. But otherwise, it's a great experience!!! And I LOVED that I built so many cool things totally from scratch!!!
