The course is ideal if you know nothing about the Java Script. Examples are extremely easy and the complexity never rises. There are no specific tools or installations required. When you complete the course, you won't pass any job interviews but if you are a student and you attend a JavaScript course, this material is probably worth of a semester. Sections 7-8 and 9 are recommended before moving to more advanced JS courses. Also, be aware that the final project is not up to date. You need to search the web to make the "Font Awesome" work.

I am an experienced programmer and doing software development for last four decades. I have developed software in various languages starting from 8086 Assembler, to C# and many languages in between. But I never had a chance to do web development or work with Java or JavaScript, although both are two different languages. I wanted to know about JavaScript and based on the rating of this course I chose it. Irfan's explanation is very thorough and with no prior assumptions. For me most of the content was redundant because of my previous experience but I almost did not skip any part and also learnt a few specific things related to JavaScript, like Ternary operator and value and type comparison, which I may have missed if I skipped those parts thinking that these comparisons are so obvious to me. I have also subscribed Irfan's other courses for web development and those are equally well designed and delivered and are of very high quality.
